Chelsea to Wimbledon, about 4 miles; Chelsea to Bristol, about 115 miles. QED. 😊

If we were to be top of the table and playing really well after 10 games I can quite easily see us getting home crowds of 10k . If we’re 8-4th about 7k , below that and we’d be down to 6k or even lower. The point being , if we have sustained success and really looked like winning the league Gasheads will come out in numbers. A bit like the need for a new stadium argument, again *if* we got promoted, were doing really well again the following season we’d be near sell outs . It’s all about getting this club on a roll , fans genuinely thinking we’re going places ( a new stadium) and thinking we could survive in the championship. Lots of ‘ifs’ but it could happen . Considering the Mem has a capacity of 12,011 I'm pretty confident we won't be seeing crowds of 12,500 any time soon. …depends how secure that gate is at the end of Alton Road! 😂

I like the idea of “Bristol Rovers 2.0”. It’s a definite upgrade on “1-nil to the Arsenal!” 😂

Land, planning, he said, she said, various sites in and around Bristol, councils, blueprints, designs, fruit Market, uwe, arena, do up the mem, in the know, wael, attendances blah blah blah.... NOTHINGS HAPPENING FFS!!! 🤣😜 Blueprints!..surely you mean BIM models and CGIs which are extant only in a virtual world, hence the impression that nothing of substance is happening. This is just a hunch, based on your critique above, but have you been reading Aristotle’s Physics, Book IX (Theta) and exploring the metaphysical concepts of Potentiality and Actuality leading to your stated conclusion? 😂

I loved this quote:
“We want people that aren’t going to be freaked out by some of the away grounds in the division…”
…because they sure as hell are going to be freaked out by the Mem. 😂

Soccer is not played on paper. It's played on grass and or mud. Which was what I was getting at, words are written on paper and that is all I have on him at the moment. Will say he’s a good signing full stop, if I deem him to be one when I’ve seen enough of him in person. Ah, the old empiricist versus rationalist debate, or “see it before I believe it”. 😉 The trouble is that any signing whatsoever is taking a leap of faith no matter which route the club goes down to limit risk. Tried and tested, worked with the manager before, experienced, etc, can just as easily fail as much as youthful with promise, non-league with guile and previously crocked but recovered can excel (I.e. Ehmer vs McCormick). No one’s got a crystal ball so the experienced spine/youth blend is probably the most obvious way to go as has been repeated on here ad nauseum.

Someone else did the Pardoner's Tale for English Lit 'O' level ? Hah - yep, then did the Knight’s Tale for A Level. I hated Chaucer with a passion . . . Pub quizz alleged fact: the etymology of the verb “to canter” comes from the preferred speed that pilgrims would ride their horses to Canterbury, being more comfortable than a trot or a gallop over a long distance.

Is there no limit to how many different ways the lower league clubs are getting f**ked over? This is ridiculous. Limit the squad size, increase the number of games with the EFL Trophy, prevent emergency loans, academy players snatched for peanuts. What am I missing? Premier League B Teams…😡

I still think Pitman would outspeed Jack Baldwin in a foot race! Baldwin falls over if it is more than 5 m so he s faster over 2m 😂 If you re bored and reading this joseph we need some signings to talk about, plus what make is your Baseball cap quite smart If we signed up the Borussia Dortmund fitness coach (Alica Schmidt) that would create some column inches. 😉

Top surface removed from the pitches and dumped elsewhere. New layer of sand-like material put down. Club house decorators in. Quite literally, watching grass grow and watching paint dry. Get TG to stick a 4 hour video of it on YouTube with a bird song soundtrack (not robins, obviously) and market it as a BRFC wellbeing initiative.

If Wael is happy to pay - then sure man I seem to recall reading somewhere that Billy Bob was Wael’s favourite ever Rovers player, so the idea of him returning from that point of view is not outrageous. However if JB really has taken the reigns then I can’t see it happening from a risk analysis approach even if BB satisfies the “been here and done it” criteria. The other elephant in the room is do players actually like the idea of working with the potentially volatile character that is Barton even if approached?

Are you aiming at the “less active” supporters with the green kit as it appears to have integral bra straps and moob cups? 😉

I hated that interview. Lots on here, including me, were spitting feathers about our recruitment in terms of strikers. If supporters on a forum could see it last September, why couldn’t our head of recruitment? Negligence. ...but Pep just won the Carabao Cup without a recognised striker on the pitch, only “forward thinking” players. So if it’s good enough for him then BG was right all along! 😉

We will all be back next season. None of us have learned a f**king thing. But the brain is very good at suppressing traumatic memories through dissociation. Better hope there’s no Gaboxadol secreted in the pasties. 😉
