It’s alright, nobody expected us to get anything out of Peterborough away and that tuned out better than expected. If someone can step up and fill Ogogo’s boots we might be pleasantly surprised, stabilise the ship, get some confidence and start to look up again. I’m going 1-1 with an Alfie header.

In the nicest possible way, I’m not surprised that the club didn’t feel it necessary to engage with an academic exercise of this nature as it has no real commercial credibility and particularly as they have their own issues to contend with at the moment.
As for the proposals, whilst the right questions are being asked the solutions are somewhat basic and piecemeal which won’t deliver a cohesive neighbourhood or give the area a unique identity. For me there isn’t a strong enough core idea upon which to hang the various redevelopment initiatives. As a flat area of land with defined edges, surrounded by water and great potential for transport linkages it has all the ingredients to make a fantastic environment no matter what uses are ultimately decided upon. Being the gateway to Bristol if you are arriving by train from the Bath/London direction it ought to showcase the best in terms of urban design quality and civic aspirations. As such a sports stadium is the perfect vehicle to display civic pride and could be a key component to anchor the overall scheme.

Plus Torquay Exeter and Plymouth Under the current circumstances pandemic and climate change is it time to revisit the regional leagues idea below the Championship? I think it probably is But where would the demarcation line(s) be drawn? The last time that the West Country was any good was during the reign of King Alfred 😉, so I propose that we adopt the boundaries of Wessex, Mercia, East Anglia and Northumberland. Then, apart from the league we could have inter-regional battles,...I mean a cup competition (with no hostage taking) at stadiums in Winchester, Tamworth, Thetford and York, the winners of which get to represent all of England. 😂

Conspiracy is a bit strong old chap, we're putting 2 and 2 together, not demanding the government produce documents relating to alien abduction And we all know what 2 & 2 make -- Don't we. A blocked U-bend?

Next season sees the 25th anniversary of our return to Bristol. The programme has featured the last games at Eastville including interviewing Boris for scoring the last goal in the reserves v Watford. However, this is not the last game. Just before it was bulldozed, a group of fans from the Vic climbed over the fences. Were you there? I think Jeff Fox or Mel Baber may have scored the last goal at Eastville. I cleared one off the line and then had to hurdle some greyhound sh*t! I hope the real team never to avoid dogs mess on the pitch! It was Melvin Baber who scored the last ever goal at Eastville Is this where the phrase “well done Me Baber” originated from?

I remember when we just had three channels. And we liked them. And they weren’t broadcasting 24hrs either (not good times for insomniacs). But there was less obesity back then when you had to get up off the sofa to push the buttons on the television to change channels...coincidence?

This is a difficult one to call. With a predicted temperature of 11 degrees C but a moderate breeze will it be a check suit and cravat, as a statement of intent, or the safety option of overcoat, scarf and flat cap? ...oh, and we’ll stuff them 1-5!

It reads to me exactly as it is: he isn’t going to insult the fans intelligence by bigging up our “progress”, just reminding us that it’s a work in progress. I respect him for that as I was kinda thinking he would be telling us how brilliant things are on the pitch when it’s very much open to debate. All in all yes, good open communication. It’s really positive to see the reputation the club seems to be getting for its community involvement during the pandemic. I think that by the sounds of it there is 100% something in the pipeline( proberly the Fruit market) but C19 has brought a pause to this right now. With the paying off debts, plus training ground and investment in team I think there will be news once we are back to "normal" in 2078. Unless near-Earth asteroid 99942 Apophis does hit on 13th April 2029. 😉

No replays 4 the fa cup this season matches level at 90 minutes go straight 2 extra time then if still level straight 2 penalties Just 2 penalties? One each, now that is sudden death! ...and only two minutes of extra time which is hardly worth it so effectively straight to penalties! 😉

As I religiously follow BRFC, can I report these posters as a “hate crime”, or at least a CAOP (crime against older people)? 😉

And here was me hoping to continue with my unbeaten run, was looking to make it 3 ‘home’ match day thread victories on the bounce😖 Can predict Garners post match interview, yes we should of won, we had the best chances and dominated the game, but the ref was awful, some terrible decisions and of course GGMI started the bl##dy match day thread a day early. ”Yes, very much so”. 😉
