In an effort to minimise the amount of information that the players have to absorb I believe Joey B referred to him today as “Colesy”.

Jesus; it reads like, "The fall of the house of Usher."
Been following since 1980, and have long had the theory, that... A), We`re cursed. or B), We`re the subject of a large sociological survey, to establish how much unhappiness a group of people can tolerate.
From the Stamford University ethics committee review into this study - it came out in 2000 but everyone missed it due the Feng Shui hoax thing. "The study has received many ethical criticisms, including lack of fully informed consent by participants or "fans" as they have come to describe themselves. The designers of the study did not know what would happen in the experiment and outcomes were highly unpredictable, the punching of a police horse for example, could not have been foreseen. Furthermore, the "fans" did not consent to their next of kin being exposed to the experiment by way of being taken to the staged "matches" and being gifted "club merchandise" further calling into question how this study would ultimately be brought to an end. Consideration is now being given to a "bankruptcy" for the "club" or relegation out of league football in an attempt to wind down the university's involvement". ...but has anyone Divergent been identified yet?

...ah, but if you start from SW London and want to avoid the M25 by going M3, then through Bracknell, it can easily take you 2hrs plus. 😂

It looks like the press in Hull are already stirring things up!
“Joey Barton set to reignite Hull City rivalry after taking Bristol Rovers job”.
The ex-Newcastle and Everton midfielder is back in management following his departure from City's League One rivals Fleetwood at the start of 2021.
Former England international Joey Barton has been appointed Bristol Rovers boss, and he won’t have long to wait before renewing his rivalry with Hull City.
Barton was boss at Fleetwood Town earlier in the season when he claimed there was bad blood between the side teams following an incident when the pair met at Highbury - City lost 4-1 which saw an FA investigation followed before Grant McCann's side dumped the Cod Army out of the FA Cup.
He’ll be back at the KCOM Stadium on March 6 when he brings struggling Rovers to east Yorkshire, undoubtedly looking for revenge on City.

I just read another article which heavily links Barton to the sports psychologist Steve Black who was famously behind Jonny Wilkinson’s success. He was apparently behind the scenes at Fleetwood too so, who knows, he might possibly roll up at the Quarters to sort out a few heads.

That's the thing. Whatever the outcome of the trial, all the stories will include the words Bristol Rovers whether it be recounting his past again on a not guilty verdict or just being guilty At least we will be in the headlines lol Not so sure about that. I took a look at the BBC Sports app just now and the other lot down the road were on the first general news page. I had to go to the League 1/Rovers page to find the story about Barton so maybe he’s not as newsworthy as we think.

Who is everyone’s all time favourite Rovers player of those who’ve dropped down the leagues from the top flight? Ball, Channon, Gould etc were just a bit too early for me. I really enjoyed watching Kenny Hibbitt in the Twerton days. another vote for Mark Walters. Still remember the 6-1 (googled it, it was 6-2) against Oxford at the mem in the early thousands. He was absolutely unplayable that day! Was that the game where, towards the end, the Oxford fans were cheering us on to score more goals in the hope that we would send Swindon down? I think Oxford were already doomed to relegation by that point but I hadn’t realised that they hate Swindle more than we do? That game had everything, eight goals, the opposition goalkeeper sent off, a last minute penalty and awesome performances from the Latvian, the Duke and Wally!

So Swindon were notified first? I guess because they were the team travelling? It was probably just a courtesy call to say thank you for the directions to the big brown envelope. 😉

I see Stendl has shortened up in price. Now that would be a surprise and a good appointment. Why? If a German manager is good enough for Abramovich....😉

I can picture the carnage now with Daryle the head groundsman patrolling the edge of the pitches on his shiny new tractor yelling “keep off the grass you little *******!”

If we play with the right attitude I think we will beat this lot. I second that! Tonight is going to be the start of a six game unbeaten run commencing with an Ehmer 93rd minute 1-0 winner.

Correlation does not infer causation. I propose that the Mods appoint a Statistical and Scientific Sub-Committee, established to identify whether there is a causal effect of any correlations noted in forum member's posts. Let's let the "Science" guide us forward. Signed: Boris J ...and then have a BBC style “fact check” thread to debunk the myths. 😉
