I like the way our fans treat each day away in League one as just a pleasure to be on. That change in attitude seemed to come to the fore during the Conference season. Determined to turn up in our numbers, enjoy the company of the town/city hosting us, ensure we are no trouble, sing our hearts out, go home counting our blessings....and if we're going to moan we do it on here in the main. 100% agree with you on that. It's what has made the bad away days bearable. So far! We made a cracking racket on Saturday early on , Walsall tweeted that rovers made more noise than Sheffield second half was a bit more subdued, I've done 6 away games including Sheffield and Fleetwood and we always do ourselves proud to be fair the only win I've seen was at Northampton, we only squeaked that 😳 We could do with a nice solid 2-0 away win to settle everyone down. Am I happy .? Yeah go on , UTG this is obviously rosily-edged by the bs3 Meltdown 😂😂

First half we played very well, but for great goalkeeping we should have been two up Bodin and then Lines
Clarke and Lines combined comically to gift goal no1
Lockyer who is tired and has a head of mush (as I said last week) got wrong footed again (as I said last week) and let goal 2 thro
And don't get me started on Byron Moore
He was for the time he was on an absolute calamity , poor touch, getting dispossessed and im still seething at how inept he was
Ryan Broome for me looked sharp and raring to go, Bodin was also on fire, hope whatever ails him is soon sorted, he is our brightest hope at this time

Paddy not being selected Lumley providing cover and competition
We must have a new No1 to be announced imminently ?
More questions than answers , exciting times ahead I reckon

I really hope they come down, I really really do
I have a feeling they will slime Out of it by virtue of the dross around them , Rotherham are nailed on to drop so I'm hopeful that forest and Blackburn can kick on a bit and leapfrog em, Wigan and Burton are showing just how hard that league is after promotion last season
I look at OTIB from time to time, not often, but I'm intrigued to see how the meltdown is coming on after the Cardiff surrender

I'd just be happy to win games 1-0 for a little streak, smashing in 4 and 5 is exciting, but If we take 3 from 6 across every home and away cycle we won't make a tilt at top6
I believe we have a golden chance to make the top six but we have to defend better , clean sheets should be the highest priority, we know we can and will score but I'd prefer to accept the odd match without breathless excitement and just clinical , mean minded defending - that means a new keeper and a monster CB ASAP !
I think Lockyer condfidence is whacked personally and has to carry a lot on young shoulders - I was at Fleetwood and his performance was well under par, passing, distribution, and getting caught flat footed
DC needs to give him a break, I think his head is mush at the mo

Don't agree Northampton are a good team, I thought they were devoid of ideas and plain cack
However you can only hammer what's in front of you and well done Rovers, great response
At least this forum won't be whining this coming week
Last week it was unbearable
Looking forward to a 1-0 win over Fleetwood , someone from Bristol must be able to beat them ? 🤔

I smell a top six assault run in like last year
This league holds no fear for this squad and quite rightly
The only lament I can add to this is I truly , sadly think it has to be the end for the Beard for this assault to happen
The midfield today were imperious and cut Northampton apart. Monty, Lines, Bodin and Clarke leave no room for the Beard at this point in time

totally agree with this my son plays for South Glos u9s and before Xmas they beat Bristol City girls u10s 10-3 was the result so that's pre-academy boys playing up a year vs academy girls we refrained from calling them she-eds However the thin skinned PC brigade don't like to deal in reality and it is appropriate for the Northampton manager to apologise I think the idea is that girls' teams, especially as the FA is trying to grow girls football, don't need to have EFL managers using them as a yardstick for the worst football they can think of. It's hardly very encouraging for a developing sector of the game, is it? Of course, just saying sh** like 'it's political correctness gone mad11!!!!1!1' saves you from actually thinking about it. No I agree it's not a helpful statement , my daughter plays for Keynsham u13s and I'm a huge fan of her team, they are second in the league and against their peers are imperious IMO. but the reality is vs an average team of u13 boys they probably would get tonked, so as I've said, the manager should and has apologised I'm sure he didn't mean to illustrate that girls football is dreadful, simply pointing out that on a pound for pound basis, men will beat women at football.

DC said post match interview that the "penny has dropped" with Harrison
Not sure if that meant if DC now knows what makes him play well or if Harrison has had some sort of epiphany
Either way, without getting excited, it's nice to see Harrison and Bodin making a contribution to what had been the Taylor and Hartley show
All the loanees are back in their boxes and the core squad is now roaring again
Wind em up, let em go and get right behind them . We know they can do it .....this League barring the top couple of teams should present no barriers to an assault on the top six .....

But on the other hand, so what. An average boys team would nearly always beat an average girls team. totally agree with this my son plays for South Glos u9s and before Xmas they beat Bristol City girls u10s 10-3 was the result so that's pre-academy boys playing up a year vs academy girls we refrained from calling them she-eds However the thin skinned PC brigade don't like to deal in reality and it is appropriate for the Northampton manager to apologise

Having done a few away games this season a lingering hangover made the decision easy for me not to traipse to Charlton
Having seen away losses at Sheffield, Chesterfield , The mental draw at Mk and a narrow squeak of a win at Northamptn , the gas away is always a bit of a lottery, especially this season
I checked the scores at 1-1' then checked the team to see if I considered we could wriggle out of it - I couldn't see that happening, but I did think we could ship a couple more after keeping the same defence that did a good job v Wimbledon on NYE as we are at the back consistently inconsistent
I just have to keep the faith. Top 6 is certainly attainable . I'm getting behind em

Tin hat firmly on , here goes ...... In my opinion I don't think anyone over the age of 12 should be sporting a replica shirt ! A training top would be as far as I go but a replica shirt it's a no from me. I think 12 is a bit ott, 14 maximum

What he said slam said would this thread even exist had we won or even drawn a couple of the games we lost - Charlton / Millwall / Chesterfield? We are tenth, we have on paper some should win matches between now and Charlton away - we should get behind the squad and stop picking at the minor scabs they are trying to heal Lines is certainly on his day equal to L1 football and should be given the latitude to have an off day without being pilloried he's not there to do the dirty work, that's Sinclairs job and again between them on the whole they get it done IMO

We were utter sh1te today, as a collective. Amateur defending. This is going to be D C's acid test. Will he be able to sign the players needed? His record with the likes of Blisset, James, Roos, Hartley et al make me wonder. blissett played a part in us gaining promotion to the football league , James hasn't had enough game time to be judged , Roos has to constantly deal with an ever changing back line and personally I think he's reasonably good keeper I think he just needs someone to compete with to keep him on his toes, Hartley for me is a bit hit and miss at times for me but generally think he's ok . He's shipped 16 goals in 5 games and he's a reasonably good keeper? by that reckoning he's marginally better than my 75 yr old mother
