Rovers have Luca Hoole and Alfie Kilgour in the 1st team squad, Jed Ward is also highly thought off. Sentiment is all good and well, but the youngsters also have to be good enough. Phillips and Hulbert didn't pull up any trees in their loan spells. Even the 2 best clubs in the country right now, Man City and Liverpool only have the 1 academy graduate each, who are 1st team regulars in Phil Foden and TAA respectively. Can’t speak for Hulbert but I followed Phillips at Supermarine he netted 17 in 27 starts At that level he’s going to score 28 goals per season at a higher level he would get better service, he’s still only 19, rovers turned down 100k for him 3 years ago from Soton and now we let him go for nothing I’ll say it again, the Gas have missed a trick . This whole group in this age bracket have been screwed by covid , 4 managers and so much more upheaval crying shame for them all

I don't think any of this current crop will want to leave this group. There seems to be something special here You can eat that quote when someone offers you double or triple wages tomorrow at work to do the same job at a “bigger” company

What about Kieron Phillips? Finished loan at Swindon Supermarine , top scorer with 17 goals in 30 games , won player of the season award and scored in their County Cup Final v Corsham in a 5-2 win at the County ground last week interest from Weymouth and Maidenhead if released think Rovers might be missing a trick , I watched the Co Cup final and Marine v Yate the boy is like a greased weasel

If you really want to hear what salty sounds like, have a listen to this post-match on BBC Radio Northampton www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0c2h0z4First 15 mins is the end of the Rovers commentary, but listen afterwards. Spend an hour taking about Scunthorpe and sporting integrity. Nothing about their sides tactics when we went 3/4/5-0 up… Spot on they bottled it and rolled the dice against us nailing the 7 any team with some attacking nous would have just gone for it. Their coaches bottled it for fear of shipping another sh** team sh** club and they think they are the best now “Bristol “ are gone I’m thinking Port Vale might regroup and have a go . Think this will shatter Northampton

Personally can’t wait for next season, JB has aces up his sleeve I’m convinced
Genuinely think he loves our underdog status ( being a Blue from Liverpool it’s v relatable )
He will want another promotion on his CV very quickly and I want derby days back

Be a bit sh** if he goes to a Champ side and gets ten mins every fortnight
Better getting 90 mins a week somewhere like L1 , surely he can find a home with us one step at a time !
Wish he was all Gas!

Don’t think anyone cares I certainly wouldn’t
Do your job well , your orientation has literally nothing to do with it
Think here’s too much focus on LGBT generally anyway, just live and let live, I’m not into over promotion of these things, on,y problem I have with certain percentage of the lgbt community is the need to wave the flag so high and hard
Just live your life, nobody cares what you do

I do begrudge them their celebration , that should be at their ground not ours
Hope none of our supporters get made an example of but I fear they will , stupid thing to do with cameras everywhere pointed at you
Personally I gave them nothing ,turned away and walked out
Small village team celebrating with tofu and cabbage fajitas tonight
Go figure

Firstly FGR by far the best opposition we’ve seen at the Mem so their league position is justified
Don’t think we fired as well today, hesitate to make excuses but the wind was def a factor for us first half , the team were a bit jittery and the crowd were too
Finley had a shocker first half, agree with JBs assessment that we tried to force it first half but FGR were like lightning on the break, strong and athletic , think Taylor and Connelly went to places today they’ve never been before , passed the test tho
Belshaw saved our bacon and thoroughly deserved his MoM
FGR tosser of a keeper saved their soya bacon second half , can’t help thinking Thomas given more time would have unlocked them would have like to see him on from restart
I was confident of a win, perhaps underestimated FGR a tad, they had some good players tbh but we did enough to win it come the end but near misses and their keeper out boxed us
All in all we should be proud we gave the champions elect a helluva match , can’t think what happened to them at Barrow did their defence arrive 30 mins after the start?
Realistically it’s play offs for us but still think we have the fear factor and the 12th man who did a great job 2nd half, JB encouraging more support prior to the restart tells me we didn’t do our job so overall we all get a 7/10 today
Onwards to Rochdale still six to play for, you never know

I have absolutely no doubts that we will put FGR to the sword and prevail
They leaked 4 v Barrow and with our crowd behind the team they will wilt, they haven’t been in this atmosphere , they won’t know what’s hit ‘em
Bring It on

To be fair he did look a bit rusty, maybe just missing a bit of match sharpness 100 percent agree just seemed to want a second longer on the ball than he had - the PV game was a frantic pace did some strong work but def not as sharp as the rest

I hope you are right 🤔💙utg Mate I can’t see anyone bettering our possession don’t care if FGR are p!ssing the league, it’s about form right now and we are top of the pile As for fans, for quantity and quality , JB says we are premier league , can’t argue with that
