Chesterfield were absolutely awful and the ref was even worse
Yep the penalty was a stonewall snd we had so many bad decisions etc, but just not , as usual brutal and clinical enough both in defence and attack to see the likes of those tin pots off.....woeful
I'm just thinking that this squad of many parts has kind of shuddered to a halt from the spirit and momentum of continual overachievement of the past two seasons
We can't keep expecting these players to assault the top six, I'm convinced Taylor thinks his 14 goals Is enough to land a big money transfer (and I wish him well )
I'm not convinced that Roos is continually blameless , shipping 14 goals in 4 matches can't be doing much for his confidence
Our car was quiet and thoughtful on the way home......we need some encouraging noises very soon
Condolences to DC on his sad loss

That is a poor result!! So have the recent home games been too. A few weeks ago we would have just been brushing aside teams like these especially bottom of the table. We need to sort it quickly We're we ever brushing teams aside? We had to come from behind so many times to get our points. We're still conceding first but now we aren't coming back like we were. We've got to stop conceding the first goal. We didn't concede the first goal today we scored in 3 mins and were killing them for first ten But so we can't defend a lead either? the first goal by Chesterfield was soft as puppy sh** and we lost all momentum this team has run its course, the spine is the conference side and we have hit a hard wall of reality in L1 stsy behind the team in Dec and pray for some strong new blood as an aside I quite like the fact the proact stadium is a tidy little ground in an urban environment they've pulled off a blinder there

I expect to win but no so confident on the clean sheet
That said the keeper and defence will not want to ship goals to the club rooted to the bottom
I hope DC goes with a sensible midfield and turn the burners on at the hour mark, that seemed to be the way we win games prior to Black November
I'm heading up there and expecting a big reaction from the squad 👍

Can anybody name our best goalkeeper?
I'll wager it's probably Matty Taylor
Can't see Roos getting many votes

To be honest Ellis started the season well I thought. Against Chelsea he was probably our best player on the pitch, not sure what has happened lately though.6 Three goals from that much game time is not good enough tho Is it? Gaffney is such a grafter the comparison is quite damning for Ellis . Its goals or graft , he's giving neither and giving the ball away in the process !

I'm bored with Harrison coming on, bored of Harrison jumping like a kangaroo and skying the ball into orbit, bored of Harrisons poor touches, bored of Harrisons dismal work rate and bored with the idea he's a L1 quality striker
Bored bored bored
He contributed last season but I'm sorry this season , he's either not got it, lost it, never gonna have it or doesn't want to use it
Whichever it is he should not be on the bench and we should be making more of Bodin and maybe James who hasn't had any sort of decent game time to show what he can do as an alternative to Gaffney, who for me, worked his balls off tonight (like is usual) but will tire being a big guy prepared to get the ugly stuff done to make Taylor look shiny

This was never going to be a cakewalk and to reach 5th by mid Nov flattered to deceive
Look around the squad we have and tell me if we really have the depth of quality to antagonise Scunthorpe and Sheffield?
We will have spells like this and this isn't a league we can relax in
Chesterfield won away tonight, you can bet they will relish us heading there on sat with this form
Get behind the team and let's show them we have the character to support them

You're very welcome if you stick to the topic otherwise it's chaff innit So given that 2 of the 3 examples I gave were home matches in the Conference where Rovers fans were turned away because the ground was sold out - I'd say I was directly on topic. Full apology will be accepted. Reading fast, typing faster and drinking cider nit a good mix full apology offered

Yes but we've been thro worse And we'd get it because I believe in the owners ability to sort it out properly and it wouldn't cost £40m And you and your occassional chipppers buddies would still get in The Memorial Stadium site won't work long term for us, because it is hemmed in on all four side by housing. This makes earning money from it (apart from matches), problematic, as hours of use are bound to be restricted by the planners to protect the amenity of the residents. It was precisely this problem that put paid to a new North Stand, in place of the current terrace. Planning permission was obtained during GD's reign but never implemented because it wouldn't produce the necessary income streams. Wael knows that a sustainable club needs to 'sweat its assets', to use Steve Hamer's phrase. That is why we will be going to UWE and not redeveloping the Mem. Stop talking sense man for gods sake

I hear there are many Brighton fans nostalgic about the withdean! The mem means nothing to us, our spiritual home (like brighton's) long since gone. The club has no future above league one at the mem. That is pretty obvious. Well I'll ask my 8 year old son in the morning if May 7th 2016 at the mem meant nothing to him, with his father, grandfather, my friends and their sons and one or two others that got onto the pitch at the final whistle

It would also be required to be made all seater within 3 years, something that would cost a fortune (along with the cost of an alternative site if uwe fell through) and would require planning permission that would be fought tooth and nail by the residents. Yes but we've been thro worse And we'd get it because I believe in the owners ability to sort it out properly and it wouldn't cost £40m And you and your occassional chipppers buddies would still get in
