I don’t think you were. I can’t find anything to support that. Try clearing your cache and logging back in under your original account. This usually works. Its a known regular occurrence for some on here and is an issue with Proboards. You've not been banned. sack the (pro) board

I think you are being a twat - People are entititled to their own views. You and I were not arounfdi in the 30's so have no idea of the feelings at that time. It is better to try and undersatand why people thing as they do rather than act supperior with your own comfertablke life feelings. And before you get all Woke on me - I'm 58, half Polish with grandparents that died in Camps in WW2 so obiviuley not racist - You should have had a chat with your Dad and understood why rather than acting so rightous Does understanding a racist stop them from being a racist? Never known a racist to ever say, "you know what, you right. I'm being a racist here". You cant stop anyone nor should you want to - The point is undrstanding why - Until then, there is not argument to be made just two people experessing opposing views

As if that proves anything..... Chhortle away old son - I said that because, in this day and age, one hads to express their feelings when making a point. As for me ? well, my Grandmother was murdered in Dachau and my father forced into the German Army - And I could go on but you really dont derserve any explanation from me - Whoever you are. The point I am making, now try to keep up, is that people, form different times, and experiences, will have formed opions based on their own lives - If that is difficult to understand then I am more than happy to meet you in person and explain

Sadly many people laughed with Alf Garnett, not at him as the show intended. It appeared to be scripted to make him look the racist fool, however it did not work and many saw him as their racist hero. It failed and he is still lauded today by some as some sort of funny idol. 🤦🏾♀️ I disagree It very much did work, but what people laughed at was very much generational. My grandfather was born in 1887 and laughed with the character not at him. My own father, a racist dickhead (born 1930) also with, not at. A lot of us laughed at. And argued with the National Front in the 1970s I think you are being a twat - People are entititled to their own views. You and I were not arounfdi in the 30's so have no idea of the feelings at that time. The thrust of what I was saying is how it makes that person feel. If that person finds it funny, it's Bants. If the person doesn't then it's bullying. What about those who are not personally offended (by a whole variety of things) but feel compelled to be offended on other peoples behalf because it makes them feel so good about themselves . Where do they fit in? There are a lot of those about these days 😀!! They can go do one - Snowflake wokes

Congratulations to the girls. Let's hope this raises their profile and they get the support they deserve. Do you mean support as in numbers of people going to games or financial maybe even both ? I did wonder why Nick Higgs cancelled the Rovers women’s team and apparently it was cost. I’m not sure but I think it’s the gas trust that provide finance and kit for the ladies. Maybe someone who knows can say if this is right ? The womans game has come a long way and has a much higher profile than when NH was with us. Good to see Woman playing football and it ust be another cash generator as it does attract a different fan base

On a thread about Aaron Collins. I was questioning why Aaron Collins (3 Goals & 8 Assists) was more deserving of a thread than Jevani Brown (1 Goal, 2 Assists & 1 Conviction for Assault). f**k me, let it go ffs

When Rovers went back to the quartered shirts in the seventies they were more expensive. The reason behind it was the stitching of the quartered shirt. I remember my old man complaining. Did he wear a suit of denims in protest?

DC was good but the enjoyment of the Francis years at Twerton coupled with my youth was my fav time - Only lived in Wick so nice and local and an early start in the local Twerton pubs I was barely born then. I think sometimes it is what age you are at that time in your life etc. Respect that the Francis years must have been enjoyable! You're right mate - I guess every generation looks back to the time when they first went independantly with their mates - And beating the Sh!t was amazing !

I got to admit I've never felt like I felt about Rovers before or after DC's time. I don't think I'll ever enjoy supporting Rovers as much as I did during his tenure. I supported the bloke until the day he left and personally would never have sacked him although I understand why we did. I remember I stayed until after the final whistle to applaud him off when others were booing. I felt his time was probably up but didn't want it to be. We love you DC. Who is comparing the way women play to the men's game? It is the same game, the difference is physicality. Physicality does not prevent a women from commentating on men playing the game anymore than the males who commentate, most of whom have never played professionally. But physicality is foremost in Barton's mind it seems, most likely because he lacks it. He displays all the symptoms of "Small Man Syndrome" and the intellect of a yapping dog. Thank god he is no longer with us. I have to say that I am not keen on having women’s football rammed into our homes. I used to enjoy FF but do not watch it now. IF the game was a stand alone product and not heavily subsidised then I would like to see the attendances and interest. One thing you cannot do is to compare it with the men’s game. just my own personal view. Converselt soccer a.m used to have Helen and I enjoyed that but that was much more lighthearted I am not a misogynist but i much prefer listening to an experienced ex players over a female plus I feel a disproportionate bias in pushing the ladies game. Just my own preference. I would never presume to tell others what to watch or listen to though You dont have to watch it old fruit - Most of us have more channels tan we know what to do with so you wont be short on alternative viewing

Oh look. Yet another thread about an ex manager. Why not amalgamate them all and put them in one giant thread where posters who post hundreds of posts a week can bore themselves to death. Totally agree - Its as if some people have some sort of weird stalking fetish - Move on FFS. It only antagonises our already divided fan base

Thankfully we have a game to look forward to later, maybe we can talk about that rather than constantly arguing about a bloke that left us 5 weeks ago. Interested to see how we set up and whether Taylor goes strong or uses the game to look at some of those who haven't been regular starters. Agree mate - time to get behong the new manager and not bicker about the previous one
