Thatchers end (surprise, surprise)...Good friends of mine who are Gas through and through, but only casual attenders due to circumstances were at the game today. Unfortunately they didn't stand with us on the West, but chose the North.
Homophobic abuse was flying around so my friends challenged it and were told they were snowflakes etc by a group of neanderthals. They gave as good as they got, but were bullied out.
Is it wrong that in 2024 they even had to front this sh**e out?
They've complained to the club about the lack of support from the alleged stewards.

I had to tell a supporter last season to stop yelling 'spastic' to opposing players. This was around the time the club starting banging on about reporting offensive behaviour. Emailed them, no reply.
As an M.S. sufferer I have a 'spastic leg. Ruined the day and really had to think twice about returning the following week.

Odd. In the East terrace, behind the away bench,some gobmeister was giving it to the Posh bench. From memory I don't think it was actually obscene. However, a steward warned him to stop. When it was mentioned to the steward that the Posh staff probably didn't give a damn, he replied that other fans might. Seems it depends where you are in the stadium.

Gratuitous violence and use of a knife because someone "dissed me" seem an acceptable norm these days. |

My daughter attends most games with me and she occasionally brings her girlfriend along , if I ever heard anything homophobic being aimed at them or anyone else for that matter I’d be mortified , Such a shame we still have these knuckle dragging idiots amongst us.

Some front labelling a chap a coward (for a second time) when you don’t know the bare bones of that particular situation, at all. How do you propose I stand up to anyone talking that kind of nonsense when I didn’t even see who said it? With a good 50 people directly behind me in a busy away end with any number of suspects. not sure what you mean by looking for praise either, merely highlighting what id heard amongst fellow Gasheads (not exactly the most pleasant thing to grace the lug holes on the day) |

As somebody said above, these incidents can escalate beyond just words. |
