I get you, but chopping constantly gets you nowhere At some point a long term plan needs to be put in place This squad isn’t his There are some good players but Barton gambled on older players with injury records and it’s backfired Football fans are too eager to just want a quick fix, it doesn’t work like that. The successful teams are moulded with time and patience. Look at Coventry, today they looked superb. Robins has been given time and support and it’s paying off. We don’t know if Taylor is the right man yet but to be wishing him gone when he’s only signed ONE player is laughable UTG Just for balance Tisdale only signed one player too why was he not given a chance? Good question. We capitulated when Barton was brought in and he kept blaming the previous managers. Tisdale was his own worse enemy by not signing a striker when it was obvious what we needed and we were just out side the relegation zone. Different scenario now. Mid table, better value in the summer. Hopefully

Chances of Taylor getting the boot after many more of these? Why not sack him now? It’s a total rebuild in the Summer anyway and the question is, will he be any better at doing that, than any other manager out there? “We have got our Rovers back” has been said on here. Not by me I might add! Ridiculous. He has to be allowed to build a team. He did it at Exeter. Why not here. To much short termism.

I don’t think the owners will accept this today … Gotta feeling you could well be right. Gotta feeling you could be wrong

Our worst result was having him in the first place! I’m not going to berate Taylor too much until he’s given the chance to mould a squad of his own. This lot are very inconsistent and the amount of crocks we’ve signed! UTG And you'd trust this joker to put together his own squad based on what you've seen so far? He's done absolutely nothing since coming in but gets a free pass most weeks- don't get it?! Yes

Chances of Taylor getting the boot after many more of these? Zero unless it goes into next season

Just watching this Liverpool game with my Father, and Liverpool brought on Salah and Robertson. Obviously we don’t have their money! But I flippantly said, we bring on Marquis and Brown…….and that tells me how weak our squad is. No game changers on the bench, pace or match winners, I think our bench in a lot of cases makes us weaker in what we bring on. Browns a game changer, but Marquis is past his best as seen with the header. Need options upfront and more pace.

Holmegas1 who rattled your cage Good question. Just getting a tad fed up with all the negativity. The squad is imbalanced, and with all the injuries we are down to bare bones, so to beat Carlisle is still positive. We have also got to give the guy a chance. When I see “he will be gone by the end of the season”, I despair with these knee jerk reactions. I suppose that’s the world we live in. Maybe I need to chill, just more a half full than half empty supporter at the moment.

Can't believe how well Northampton are doing this season. Makes it even more depressing Playing to their strengths with a side that’s built for league 1 football. More like league 2 from their position in the league.

Get ready for the big clear out at the end of the season sounds like Matt Taylor fed up with this lot Sadly I don't think they like him either, player power etc And what makes you know that. I think he’s identified the weak links

You’re having a laugh. We were 16th in the league when he left and from what I remember playing terribly against Stevenage. Just to be clear, I'm saying bring that style of football back, not Barton, since that's a daft argument. Trying to match up against these teams is not helping us because we are small, weak, not physical, scared, second to react, confused and generally sh**. All of our players can pass and move whilst we have a few players who are particularly good at that-Evans, Thomas, Hunt, to name 3. We can't realistically beat kick and run teams by playing kick and run because that's not how our previous manager set the team up. Also, tippy tippy with an occasional dart forward is better than spooning it out of play or giving possession away over and over. Just my opinion. I can go with that, but I think we need a much higher tempo, but with a passing style.

What, the League One 65% possession and no shots on goal football, and saw us wallowing in 17th place and got Barton sacked. That football! Yeah. It was better than this. Barton didn't get sacked lol. He walked and told them to do one as he realised they are cowboys. Do you live in your own little world of delusion . He was sacked, and probably his last job in football. I actually supported him, but the writing was on the wall the last 6 months of his tenure.

We have gone back to Barton ball in the last 3 games. We once again seem more interested in stopping when we’ve got the ball, going back or going sideways. We’ve not played one through ball yet. We only played one on Saturday and we scored. That’s how we need to play at this level, this slow Tempo sh** will send us down. Barton Ball? The stuff that tends to return 60-70% possession therefore limiting the opposition time on the ball? Pass and move slick Brazilianesque skills from back to middle to back? The stuff which got us promoted and solidified as a stable 3rd tier side? Bring that back. You’re having a laugh. We were 16th in the league when he left and from what I remember playing terribly against Stevenage.

I can't watch this awful Sh*te anymore. Taylor hasn't got a clue. He is Tisdale Mk2 with the added charisma of Kier Starmer. He's clearly, for some reason, lost the dressing room. I frankly wouldn't be surprised if he goes in the next few days. People do like to get carried away with ridiculous statements that we know nothing about.

Say what you like about Joey but he was a good motivator, I just don't see that with Taylor he comes across as very vanilla. Can't see Taylor staying if the form doesn't improve. If Taylor does go as much as it pains me to say it I would be looking at Steve Evans as his replacement you only have to look at how he has turned a struggling Stevenage side close to losing their league position to a playoff challenging league 1 side You are having a laugh. Steve Evans ! and don’t believe Taylor is going anywhere for at least 12 months. To a change a manger before next season would be madness.

And how would you know that ? I have working eyes and ears. To me he knows what to do. Though we need to get to safety and close season to change the squad some. What he said is factual reality as we have been losing to the bottom teams ever since we got back to League one. Barton thought he could Man City our way out of league 1 and we all got a little sucked into it. The trouble especially on a winter pitch they are not cut out for it. Add in the injuries and you have a recipe for disaster. Now if we are in this position this time next year I will agree with you, but miles too quick to be judgemental now. Remember it took Barton just under a year to get us moving in the right direction, plus a phone call to Newcastle.

Give it a break. Let’s see where we are next season. Garner was your hero and then you disowned him when he was poor. Let’s at least give Taylor to Christmas with his own team before you start pontificating. You're talking out the wrong end again Unfortunately not. I used to have some respect for your views but the more I read the more I realise you sway with the wind and just love to whinge. Also name 500 players and when one comes off you cannot help but brag about it.

I would not have been against us keeping him to be fair. I'm not defending Taylor at all. He should have been aware how shut we are at the back and he's done nothing to improve us in that department. Not really a surprise though. This is a manager sacked in his previous job having broke their transfer record twice in the summer, to then go from a crap 1.00 PPM last season, to an even worse 0.69 PPM this season, having conceded an embarrassing 32 goals in 16 games with a measly 15 scored and couldn't turn a losing away run that lasted a YEAR. Give it a break. Let’s see where we are next season. Garner was your hero and then you disowned him when he was poor. Let’s at least give Taylor to Christmas with his own team before you start pontificating.

Spending 1/2 of it makes sense. That shows intent by the owners.
That’s what Brentford, Peterborough do, who from a player recruitment and sales model are the clubs we need to start to emulate
Spending 1.6M in my view would not be sustainable unless they have very deep pockets and would be as bad as spending 0.
