I've not got any hopes left for this season but have been wondering whether tomorrow is it, with a weak performance and a 2/3 goal loss? That reaction at full time felt like the end for me.. I'm pretty sure MT will be allowed the close season to bring in "his" players. If next season starts as badly as this season is ending, he will be in real trouble. Don't forget he was a hero of the fans around Christmas time when we were beating Bolton, Portsmouth, Charlton etc - so is he suddenly an inept manager, are the issues due to the injury list, or is there a lack of confidence which followed those two home games v Fleetwood and Burton which is where the wheels fell off our season? I happened to listen to to the EFL show on talksport the other afternoon and they had a feature on Rotherham. They interviewed the RUFC poscast host and he talked a fair bit about MT. MT signed a loan of injury-prone journeymen last summer and most of them have been crocked this season. The guy being interviewed said the blame for their relegation this season was poor recruitment last summer and dreadful football/results - RUFC are on course for the worst ever point haul in a championship season. I think MT will get preseason but it’s a huge rebuild needed and nothing gives me any faith in MT to lead that.

Don’t really care about the result here. I just want to see some application and effort.

When Rovers score, we’re on the pitch.

Scholes went to Port Vale and Becks went to Preston. The difference is that crop of players were remarkable and such was the confidence in them, the likes of Kanchelskis, Hughes, Robson etc were sold to make way for them. Greenslade has done nothing. To make his debut for Manchester United in the League Cup scoring twice. True.

The 'Class of 92' would have been sent out on loan for their first few seasons rather than winning things... Scholes went to Port Vale and Becks went to Preston. The difference is that crop of players were remarkable and such was the confidence in them, the likes of Kanchelskis, Hughes, Robson etc were sold to make way for them. Greenslade has done nothing.

Alarming to see the empty seats in the east stand which is pretty much season ticket there.will be lucky to sell 4k for next season and that's the budget gone. I know of 3 ST holders who chose not to attend last night. “If the players aren’t putting in the effort, why should I?”

Even Garner had a better record than this.

I thought he would get summer but I don’t think he will get another game.

Taylor walks tommorrow would the club have to pay up the remainder of his contract? If he’s pushed.

Who is more unpopular at Rovers… Matt Taylor or Matty Taylor?
Might do a poll.

Thank goodness Taylor wasn’t appointed immediately after Barton was sacked. If he had, we would have been in real danger of going down. We are very fortunate that he wasn’t hired any sooner.

Taylor can’t get these players motivated.
I think any manager should have the opportunity with a transfer window but Taylor might be an exception to the rule.

I loved that season. I went to more away games that year than during any other. I think it brought us all back to earth and was probably the reset the club needed. We are still sh*t mind.

I think whatever happens from this point forward, MT will get the summer transfer window. If we don’t start like a train next season, I can’t see him keeping the support of many. It doesn’t happen often where a manager regains faith after losing it. It has been dire since he took the job. It wasn’t great before but I think we are worse now. MT will certainly be arguing that he needs a fair crack at it with his own players and tend to agree with that.

Sat in the car park post game. Utter Utter Tripe today … Hard to say who played well .. Everyone just seemed to have a poor mistake in them . Playing one up front at home is an insult and it’s no wonder we don’t even look like scoring. When we did get close Ward somehow missed his kick in front of goal . Atmosphere was pathetic but there was literally nothing to get excited about . The only consolation is having confirmation that there will be a massive clear out at the end of the season … Contracted players and Out of Contract will move on. Needed for sure! It is a consolation but it also makes me worry for next season. With a reported budget decrease, we will be shopping for bargains and even if we do get the right players in, it will take until Christmas for the new team to gel. I can’t help but feel dejected right now.
