Embarrassing that people think this sort of thing is acceptable.

I’d put my mortgage on a Posh win with JCH scoring. Anyone know a decent b&b?

It wasn't such a terrible season overall. We've had far worse. Admittedly the modest League table place hides some seismic events through the course of it. But we're safe and probably a lot less disappointed than Reading and Charlton fans are immediately below us. We’ve been a League one/League two yo-yo club for 30 years. Until we get the facilities fit for a successful League One/Championship club, League One safety will never be groaned at from me. As you’ve said, we’ve had much worse. We will be back in league two in the next 5 years without significant improvements to income streams.

Hate to be so pessimistic but I can’t see us getting in the play offs now.

I'm not complaining about him, just stated a fact that we paid a fee. We also paid a fee of Conteh. So assuming we are only paying 50% of the fee for each of them, it alao means that that the balance of the fees for Rossiter, Connolly and McCormick will in the next set of accounts. Then, the only sale is Collins, of which we are only getting 50% now. Good chance our wage bill this season is also higher. So where's the savings? I think the next set of accounts will be worse for sure. Will the money we got for Lofty be in the next set of accounts? I’m not sure how you list ‘two sausage rolls and a packet of smarties’ on accounts.

2-0 Cheltenham for me. They are fighting for their lives and our players lost interest months ago. Hope to be proved wrong.

I've not got any hopes left for this season but have been wondering whether tomorrow is it, with a weak performance and a 2/3 goal loss? That reaction at full time felt like the end for me.. I'm pretty sure MT will be allowed the close season to bring in "his" players. If next season starts as badly as this season is ending, he will be in real trouble. Don't forget he was a hero of the fans around Christmas time when we were beating Bolton, Portsmouth, Charlton etc - so is he suddenly an inept manager, are the issues due to the injury list, or is there a lack of confidence which followed those two home games v Fleetwood and Burton which is where the wheels fell off our season? I happened to listen to to the EFL show on talksport the other afternoon and they had a feature on Rotherham. They interviewed the RUFC poscast host and he talked a fair bit about MT. MT signed a loan of injury-prone journeymen last summer and most of them have been crocked this season. The guy being interviewed said the blame for their relegation this season was poor recruitment last summer and dreadful football/results - RUFC are on course for the worst ever point haul in a championship season. I think MT will get preseason but it’s a huge rebuild needed and nothing gives me any faith in MT to lead that.

Don’t really care about the result here. I just want to see some application and effort.

Scholes went to Port Vale and Becks went to Preston. The difference is that crop of players were remarkable and such was the confidence in them, the likes of Kanchelskis, Hughes, Robson etc were sold to make way for them. Greenslade has done nothing. To make his debut for Manchester United in the League Cup scoring twice. True.

The 'Class of 92' would have been sent out on loan for their first few seasons rather than winning things... Scholes went to Port Vale and Becks went to Preston.
