But then bought in Baldwin & Ehmer. On the face of it those 2 with kilgour & Harries and then Davies to cone back from injury gave us plenty of strength in that position. I agree. I don’t think anyone thought Ehmer would be as bad as he is. Baldwin came with pretty poor reviews but Ehmer and Kilgour should have been a decent partnership. I actually thought Davies looked decent when he was fit. Still, you are only as good as your strikers and they are gash. They made made the same mistake as previous Rovers managers, Holloway let Tillson go, relegated. Trollope let Elliot go, relegated.

Another classic garner decision.. What the hell has Garner got to do with it? He didn’t sign him, never had him available due to injury - although spoke highly of him - and had left the club long before the decision to send him out in loan. Yes, but knowing that Davies was injury prone, why did he let Tony Craig go.

Well according to this site we have the sixth biggest wage bill in Division 1 £3,285,880 per year, so we have flashed the cash but with no return. The cancer then that Barton refers to throughout the club must be whoever is responsible for a poor return having paid those wages and us being in the relegation places. salarysport.com/football/sky-bet-league-one/bristol-rovers/ Not so sure Joey's the boy to cut wages. His old team is nearly £2,000,000 higher with 3 out of the top five earners.

Well, that was a surprise, certainly surprised Pompey. Rovers returned to a Coughlan "they shall not pass" style game and discovered that two big quick strikers will cause problems for any L1 team if the ball can be delivered accurately enough. It did mean that Nicholson was bypassed most of the time, and when he fell deeper to get involved, could get caught in position in vulnerable areas. Should have been replaced with Rodman when Brown came on.

PT must have asked John Ward to pick the team for him tonight.

Or 5-2-3. Lot of work for Liddle on his debut. Same back 5 as Tuesday, same keeper.

Why does it matter what we think? Can't you just accept that the club say its for personal family reasons. That means if David Coles does not want to tell us those reasons, it's none of our business! You're right, of course.
Being less inflammatory than GGMI, I would imagine Tisdale will look to assemble a team of coaches he knows and trusts around him.
Um, like Marcus Stewart?

I'm logging onto Betfair to lump on us going down. Toothless. If they're watching, they'll have closed that wager.

Four centre backs and two holding midfielders. Decision made - tenner stays in my pocket tonight. That starting Eleven is a disgrace... What on earth is going on with Daly ...No sign of him for months ... Nicholson damages his hip in training... out for four games and counting Oztumer was allegedly meant to be starting tonight ... No we go with the creative skills of Harries... I can only think useless clown Kevin Maher is whispering in PTs ear as the decisions being made are a joke. ... I thought PT was better than this. Tenner saved for sure... I’m fuming! PT played Daly for 90 mins first game back when 4 - 0 up half time.

He's got a nice easy start, Wigan. Always good to get a new manager bounce, just like Swindon did with Sheridan against Rovers

Christ Hollyhillgas, What are you suggesting doing...relegate us for certain? There are lots of candidates of players who are not getting a look in but I would try to get rid of Upson, Harries, Kelly, Little,JML, Leahey and everyone needs to shape up.They are all as bad as one another at the moment. Otzumer, Nicholson ,Annsi, Hanlan,Daly are the chinks of light!! Just going by the last 60 year tradition of selling off the family silver. If Rovers didn't need the money, they would have got Cotterell not Tisdale.

Nobody will want them, on the other hand Nicholson, Daley and Jaakkola would fetch money.

They need premiership survival so would expect them to field a young team, it's a winnable game especially at home UTG, we might have two fit strikers by then.😂 On the other hand, maybe like PT against Darlo, they will field their strongest side in the hope of getting a confidence building win.

RIP Gwyn. Recruited from Wolves who style matched Rovers long ball game. Gwyn had the best sliding tackle I've ever seen, aided by there being no grass. Can't remember him getting anywhere near the half way line, but he didn't need to with an accurate long ball up to Alfie Biggs.
