Our younger fans wouldn't even know who he is. I'm so old I saw his first game for the reserves. Didn't think much of him at the time, played as a winger, we were used to the likes of Harold Jarman, Peter Hooper and even Ray Graydon.

Nicholls 6 Much more composed performances. Good punch clear which could have been a goal. J. Clarke 7 One of his best performances at RB for me. Parkes 6.5 Solid. Much better. McChrystal 7.5 Rock at the back as usual, heads everything anyway and good tackle which was nearly a goal. Brown 7 Solid performance from Brown. Bodin 6 Couple of classy touches but too quiet for my liking. Lines 7.5 Amazing how good he can look when he puts the effort in. Frustrates me that he never shoots though! Sinclair 6.5 Another all action performance. Heart in mouth for the yellow. Montano 7.5 Best player first half. How many crosses did he put in the box? A shame there was nobody on the end of them. Faded 2nd half. Kept hold of the ball well too. Should keep his place. Taylor 7.5 Great performance from Matty and oozed confidence after the first goal. Took his goals well. Should have scored early on too. Easter 6 Held the ball fairly well but like Bodin he didn't have enough impact on the game. Seems to come too deep with back to goal too much. Subs: Gosling N/A Blissett N/A Crowd 6. Dead for large parts but great in others. Ref 6 Had a lot better and a lot worse refs. The linesman our end on the other hand was absolutely shocking. Carlisle 4.5 No great threat. Asamoah looked their most dangerous player. I remember Asamoah chasing Sammy Igoe.

On the highlights at 17 seconds, Southends No 10 appears to be offside in front of Nichols, of course can't see across the pitch, but he must distract Nichols.

There were Chesham fans in the West Stand. Enough to wind Rovers fans up as well.

We should beat Chesham easily enough by at least 3 or 4 goals however I recall a few slip ups over the years so I wont be getting too expectant this sunday.... any of you remember Kettering Town in 1988 when we lost 2-1 amongst one or two others over the past 30 odd years? Gerry Francis said he knew it would be a tough game because Kettering had players he couldn't afford!

With the luxury of a Friday win, and needing something to worry about this afternoon, this is how I hope the results go.
Crawley 0 _ 1 York Keeps Crawley away from us, also ends their revival.
Wimbledon 0 _ 1 Hartlepool Wimbledon stay below us
Barnet 1 _ 1 Exeter Barnet finding form so a blip would help. Exeter stay below
Carlisle 0 _ 1 Yeovil Carlisle stay below
Ley O 0 _ 0 Accrington Best option
Mansfield 3 _ 0 Wycombe Just don't like Wycombe; Don't like Mansfield either
Newport 1 - 0 Northhampton Better result for us.
Notts C 0 - 1 Portsmouth Not going to worry about Portsmouth, hope they beat everyone, except us of course.
Plymouth 4 - 0 Morecambe Plymouth almost the same reason as Portsmouth, but a 4-0 puts Rovers above Morecambe
Stevenage 2 - 0 Oxford Got to leave one automatic available.

We all know last season's budget was cut substantially then it was apparently cut again this summer, so whilst none of us know the exact budget it's far smaller than the likes of JW was allowed to spend/waste. Just to add salt to the wounds today's stats show we've the third highest attendances in Div 2 so this season. Would be 7th highest in L1.

What about their hatred for him? If they had not driven Pulis out they would have reached the Prem.

If you go by the BBC cost of football, an average L2 player is paid £1,500 a week.

It's only a small concellation, but if if you report it to the police, they will log it as a crime, that will go on the stats for that postcode and put their insurance up.

Most think the ref was reaching for a yellow, but the red superceded it. Now if the ref didn't think it was a dive, he should have awarded a penalty yellow carded the Mansfield player and sent Easter off for what he considered a head butt.

If Ollie Clarks red was overturned, this a dead cert for an appeal.

Jermaine Easter former Wycombe favourite. Played for them against us in the then Football league trophy 2006/7 his brother Jamal scored his only ever league club goal for us and knocked them out.

Where do we stand with the JPT, does the FL/Rovers just accept it's a Micky Mouse cup and let it go ahead regardless of call ups? I suppose calling the game off sums up what DC thinks about Parkes & Lines at present, as he clearly doesn't want to risk starting with those two on Saturday! He would have a short bench. To DC that is a big handicap.

Pathetic. Why the feck have we asked for the match to be called off? The only player that is a regular 1st teamer is Lockyer. The other 2 are just squad players. We have just won our last 2 away matches so the guys probably on a high. This has got me fuming. Thought you would be glad. With Ellis on international duty Matteeee is bound to start!!
