If he stays there is a possibility we'll be relegated because I can't see us getting another point. He has to go. We cannot lose our league 1 status.

Met Ray at Twerton when I accompanied the ref and Ray took drink orders for after the game.As a true Bristolian he wrote down 4 Largers. Brilliant.

Frankly they don't deserve our support. They treat us with contempt. The lack of engagement from the club is appalling. What the hell is happening with Fruit market Wael that you told us about in August?

Joe dunne will stay if he’s offered the managers job else he’s off with gc,bet it will be him nice cheap option Get your bets on I agree completely. He knows the players and the system, will continue the continuity and will be very cheap. I'd have thought he's a shoo-in. A good result tomorrow night and MS will doubtless start talking him up.

Well, he's gone to league 2. That suggests to me that clubs in league 1 weren't queuing up to sign him. Read into that what you like but to me it suggests that he is not thought of as a great league 1 defender. Anyway, we are rovers supporters and come kick off on 1st day of the season I'll be supporting rovers and out team and I won't give a damn what Walsall do!!

I wish him well for the future but I'm sure we'll replace him with a better player. As regards him signing for Walsall, perhaps he was offered a longer contract on better terms and if that's the case you can understand him leaving.

If DS remain in charge I'm pretty sure we'll never have a new stadium or training ground.

Sounds like GC has a player lined up and 2 more to leave apparently. 2 more? Do we even have any players left?! Does that include Rollin or in addition to him?

Maybe I've got you mixed up with someone else, but IIRC you seemed pretty happy to take the latest statement at face value yet you accuse the bristol post of coming up with 'bullshit' ('bullshit' is pretty vehement, imo). Given the board's track record of saying stuff that they can't deliver on I don't see any difference in the board making claims they can't prove and the bristol post doing the same. But I do agree with oldie about the thread being de-railed. I feel I've made my point about about not holding the board to the same standard as the evening post and I will leave it at that. Which statement are you talking about? Usually I'm happy to take what the club says at face value, coz there's not a lot of point not doing so, and generally what they say (even though it isn't what we want to hear) is actually pretty coherent and consistent. It's much more coherent and consistent than fans coming up with weird theories in order to explain their disbelief, like Dwane is pumping £1M a year into the club, but that isn't real money coz it's just a loan, and they're only pretending to look for a stadium because when their liabilities match the valuation of the Mem then they're gonna sell up and make a huge profit by, presumably, magic. I don't see the boards track record much different to the previous board who had an imaginary stadium and increased our debts while paying for average players we couldn't really afford just to make us stand still (or go backwards). The only difference I can see is that they had a picture of a stadium they couldn't build. I imagine that if Dwane came up with a picture of a stadium they couldn't build a lot of people would say that was good communication. But your point about holding the board to the same standard as the Evening Post is a bit weird coz obviously it depends on context (that you seem to be deliberately ignoring for some reason, and that I've mentioned twice and you're still ignoring). Obviously I hold the BP to a higher standard of writing a news article in a newspaper. And obviously I hold the club to a higher standard of coming up with a football team in League 1. Obviously. I don't think I've ever read anything so ridiculous in all my life!

Oh and by the way. You want to talk about Rovers legends? Try Geoff Bradford or Stuart Taylor. As far as legends are concerned, Holloway The Chancer isn't fit to lace their boots. Don't hate him? Lol!

Ambition is led from the top. GC is currently doing the business and may turn out to be a good, bad or indifferent manager. Hopefully he will be fantastic and we'll go on to great things, but we still need a stadium that we can earn revenue from and fill with lots of happy gasheads.

They have "increased revenue" by selling our best players. DC said before he left that he has raised £1.5 million through player sales and there is no way we have reinvested that money back into the squad. How about putting that back into where it really matters - the first team. How much would it cost us to get relegated to the basement division? I would suggest it is "absolutely fanciful" to expect us to be "self sufficient" in our current guise. We’re not self sufficient. That’s why all the other things: stadium must happen. But that doesn’t mean that you just chuck money in. There’s nothing to say that money wasn’t reinvested- through wages. Or alternatively it’s sat in pot ready to be spent when there’s room within the wage structure. You constantly knock the board. And there’s criticism to be said but I don’t think we can blame their investment in the playing side. We’ve signed several players for money. Something we hadn’t done for a while. Have a large squad: Bennett, Matthews, Broadbent all missing from the bench on Saturday. It’s speculation to suggest that they are lying over playing to the FFP limits. DC confirmed that FFP was the limit himself. Yes they could give us a million quid. But why should they? Why should they give us money? Well, for a start it's their business. If my House's roof was leaking and needed fixing I'd splash the cash rather than letting it collapse into disrepair!

There always seems to be a reason why we can't get decent players in. Crazy prices being quoted; all the best ones snapped up already, were in the wrong half of the table, were in the top half and people expect the earth in wages. The list goes on and on and I'm sick of hearing it. Just get on with it and get the correct players in and pay them the going rate FFS!
