Monk is not happy about it Jobe still played the rest of the match though. If it is true and Martin did headbut him with enough force to cause concussion, he should be thoroughly ashamed of himself and should be fined heavily by the club. If I was the manager I'd have to think very hard before offering him an extension to his contract if that's how he conducts himself.

Excellent performance by Jed today. Really earned his wage and more. I'm looking forward to watching his development and am sure he has a very bright future ahead of him.

That was a good performance by Rovers. A bit of magic won us the game but we worked hard to get over the line. The goal was absolute class and what a lovey player Agullera is. On our day we can beat any team in this division. It's a very very long shot but let's keep going gas and you never know!

Why should posters have to ignore anybody's posts, you know how the forum works most of the chat is fairly civilised and we all tend to get along fairly well. I can't see what you are hoping to achieve just trying to takeover every thread with anti JB rants, you've even now dragged up another JB thread from years ago. JB's gone and won't be coming back, if the Board does decide to appoint Mangan as manager and keep on most of JB's ex staff it's completely beyond your control. how the hell do you ignore a posters post, everyone ignore my reply....bet you're still reading it, yes I was a Barton supporter but I'm not vile Not as good as The Rovers Return!

How about John Coleman from Accrington. He has worked wonders with them over many years with a miniscule budget. Granted he's not young but he has got promotions on his CV and has Accrington challenging in league 2 this year.

I'd give it to Holloway. I'm sure he could get a tune out of the current squad.

Seriously, if this is about the South Stand reporting, why is Joey bothered about that, surely he should brush that off as not his remit The reporting of the team has been perfectly fair and positive so far this season. I absolutely agree with you on this. I think The new guy, Hargreaves, has been perfectly fair. Really don't know what Joey is upset about but whatever it is I think it's a mistake to refuse to speak to the Post and Joey should reconsider his stance.

I should have thought that the planners are well aware of the type and quantity of objections (there won't be anything new) that will be made and have considered the merits of the proposal and feel that it should be granted. What other explanation can there be? As regards to timelines, I can only assume that Rovers have been given assurances that it will be determined very soon after the consultation period ends. Additionally, taking the existing stands down will help expedite the matter because it will put pressure on the council to make a decision. If it doesn't and planning permission isn't given this will prove to be a huge mistake. Really not sure that us taking down the existing stand will push the Council into doing anything faster. Why would they give a stuff about that? Nowt to do with them if we have voluntarily cut off a source of income and given ourselves a headache in that process. I suppose we'll have to wait and see but I'm sure Rovers can bring more pressure to bear through the media and it's fans etc. I should also hope that the Council does care about Rovers and would want to do their best for us. Time will undoubtedly tell!

Rovers must have spoken to the Council before they put in the application and must have been assured that planning permission will be forthcoming. I can't think of any other explanation. Well maybe….but not sure how the Council can give that concrete (excuse the punğŸ¤) assurance upfront prior to any objections/due process and, even if they did, the bit that’s missing from that conversation is ….when?. Given PP once granted is valid for 3 years (I think) what was the rush to put ourselves in this position? I should have thought that the planners are well aware of the type and quantity of objections (there won't be anything new) that will be made and have considered the merits of the proposal and feel that it should be granted. What other explanation can there be? As regards to timelines, I can only assume that Rovers have been given assurances that it will be determined very soon after the consultation period ends. This is the point, spot on. It won't really affect anyone locally but make a massive difference to the club. When you put it like that it does seem pathetic their objections to this. Hope BCC see it this way, the benefits far outweigh any negatives (if any exist) Yep, totally bemused that we have taken a structure down without a clear way ahead to replace it  knowing that these objections would be incoming, no matter how pathetic we may see them as/ that they actually are. Recent(ish)  history should have surely been a pointer to this. Rovers must have spoken to the Council before they put in the application and must have been assured that planning permission will be forthcoming. I can't think of any other explanation.

Could Geoff being replaced by Sam Frost? I appreciate Sam isn't a radio journalist but am sure he could adapt and do a very good job.

The familiar voice of local sport for so long. Geoff will be greatly missed and radio Bristol simply won't be the same without him.
