Bristol live seems to think he will be back in training soon.
Was very impressive from about five games in last season.
Unfortunately after such another bad injury, it will probably take him about ten games to get back in the swing of things, which could mean around March before he is back to his best.
Definitely think he is our best midfielder though and would make a big difference.
I am not sure how long a contract he had, but to me it is similar to Grant (actually both of them! Josh and Ward) in that they are better than we have when fully fit, but are injury prone and take a while to warm up.
A big risk to offer contracts next season, unless we can get them to sign small weekly waged terms, with large pay as you play and win bonuses.

Sadly I don’t think he’ll get another contract from us he’s a talented player but way too injury prone, we could offer him a match to match contract in the summer and see how he goes next season?

Probably needs to be managed in a similar way to someone like Paul McGrath or Ledley King, who both suffered from chronic injuries. Both players would barely train on the grass during the week, but would maintain a basic level of fitness with work in the gym, swimming pool and the basics needed to keep your eye in with a minimum amount of ball work.

At his level he needs to be let go. He's obviously gonna play 40 games a season at his next club

I dont hold much hope for the lad unfortunately. His career has been spent mainly in the treatment room. Shame as he is a great talent but thats no good if its not shown on the pitch

If we can get reasonably fit he's just the type of player we seem to be missing in midfield at present.

I imagine Rossiter is on a hell of a lot more money, and can a club like us risk continuing to pay that for little in return? So far all the warning signs abut his injury record have been bang on

After reading what AM actually said it's not really clear if Rossiter will be returning anytime soon, as he's suggesting he wants to get him involved in the coaching side whilst he continues with his rehabilitation.
Perhaps that should read he wants him to start earning some of his wages!

They were center backs and were good and reading the game, so could get away without running much. Rossiter used to get around the pitch a lot, which he wouldn't be able to do without a lot of fitness training. If he can't return to full training, I think he would struggle during games.

Wish him all the best but another Jennings Wasserman special.
I swear we asked the physios and doctors to have days off when certain players came in for medicals?!………Rossiter, Pitman, Mark Hughes, Trev Clarke, Wilson, Friend, Harry Anderson, Leon Clarke.
Incredible amount of injured players we have signed.

Can’t wait to see him play ten games before falling apart again. Made of papier-mâché. Can’t believe anyone at board level signed off paying actual money for this fella. The record speaks for itself.

Incredible amount of injured players we have signed. Think you're being harsh on Anderson there. Played pretty much every minute of the promotion season and looked one of the fittest players at the club. Rossiter and Trev Clarke were probably calculated gambles in that if they were fit they would've been too good for us. Rossiter was talked about as the next Stevie G at one point, Trev Clarke had played regularly for a Rotherham team at the top end of League One. We've been doing this for as long as I've supported Rovers; see also Jamie Shore, Rammell (second season), Virgo, Kenneth, Clarkson, Gill etc etc

This is what happens when you control a club from top to bottom, you can do and sign what you want. Rossiter would at best been a 12 month deal for me, he is a Jamie Shore all over again but even back then he only got a 1 year deal. Now coaching for us, typical Scouse lot again, all best mates, as thick as thieves. Like this bloke, again signed off the Scouse estate in his wheelchair, if Rossiter and Hughes were from Kent and Coventry, we’d never have signed them. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Hughes_(footballer,_born_1986 Jennings Wasserman Specials
