Thank you. A factual response. He signed in the summer of 2022, is that right? Yes, it seems an age ago that we watched him make his debut. A shame for him that what could have been a good career has been blighted by injuries. And he was not appreciated by some after his first (very) few games.

Interesting debates. Taylor age 22. Loved by fans because he old fashioned center half who wants to win the ball. Quansah age 20. Dismissed by many last season. The latter playing prem and champions league this season. At this level would suggest Taylor better option, above that Quansah. Will Taylor develop into a €500k+ player? I think so

And he was not appreciated by some after his first (very) few games. I think he is a fine player, especially at our level. It's such a shame that his career has been so blighted by injuries

And of course Taylor played in League 2 which doesn’t have the best players. There both Taylor and Connolly were better than their opponents. Last season Quansah was playing at a level above, against better players and was two years younger so perhaps his inconsistency could be explained. But he has learnt and this season is a part of a Liverpool squad and has made several starts. He is different in that he is comfortable in playing out from the back, even in atrocious conditions. Taylor is ok and getting better at playing out. You may be right about Taylor being ‘better’ option at this level, perhaps more suitable but of course Quansah picked up all the stick surrounding JB and the team as we failed to put in a challenge after Christmas this year when it had looked as if we may. Not his fault but he was used as a reason. But yes, I think Taylor will develop into a very good player and we should make a handsome profit on him if we choose to do so. UTG!

I’ve not said this because I seem like I am continual basher but here goes and I’ve thought this for the last 6 weeks………….
How come Quansah is now playing Premiership and European football, how come Coburn is now starting and scoring in the Championship, Bobby Thomas as well playing championship football did we finish 17th last season in essence with 3 good players last season?
Quansah looked poor with us, our defence hasn’t looked solid in Div1 from day one last season, Coburn was finished after Boxing Day last season, Thomas went back early.
I’m truly of the opinion, I applaud Barton for his Newcastle contacts but we basically got a Premiership player on loan who should never have been in Div2.

I agree on Taylor, I really think he can become a top player

I really appreciate your post and thanks for saying this, I’m not always right, I haven’t been personal, and it’s nice to know you think I don’t ruin every thread. Re Shore, taken on a short term gamble, coming back to Bristol and well worth it. I believe we paid for Rossiter, and also given a 2 year deal, extremes here hey 🤷🏼♂️ ....well, yea point taken but for all we know Rossiter might give us 6 months of ever-present scintillation. ? For me, freedom of speech Trumps everything. If folk don't like it, block. Simples. As long as you're not advocating violence, post what you like so I guess I'd make a cr@p mod.... When I first re joined this site after the debacle of relegation, my very first post was along the lines of you're all my brothers and sisters, mum's and dads so I know there's no perfect family out there but surely we all want the same thing so hey let's listen respect and play nicely. We're not all the same. This is spot on this 👏👍
