Sad to see Evo go, get the best price including hefty % sell on, then re invest some of it into the squad. Will be excited to see a new team built, but they'll need a fair few pre season friendlies to gel. Iโm sure the Tottenham fans were excited when the Bale transfer fee was available to be re-invested. Hope Iโm wrong but can see this all ending in tears Every transfer is a gamble for every Aaron collins and JCH you get a stefan Payne and Mickey Evans, even the top clubs get it wrong!

I was impressed with the interview, threw some funny comments in as well, drinking pints in Magaluf when his playing season was over, current players too cool for pints.
He is very thoughtful and delivers the right image, just because he is monotone doesn't mean he is boring, quietly spoken so the listener has to concentrate.
There will be no big claims for next season, I'm cautiously optimistic that with a few decent signings, we ll have a team we identify with, and not loath like much of this season.

Lots of posters saying they don't support Taylor and won't be renewing their season tickets. Some of them were the same ones giving out at those who refused to back Barton. Where are all the "get behind the manager" brigade when you want them? Hugo I renew whoever is the manager, immaterial to me, be nice to have a less traumatic season, more disappointed with the clubs efforts to squeeze every last penny out of us.

Will Ferry Cheltenham or Frazer Blake Tracy at swindle both rated left backs, always liked Lee Evans ex Gas youth midfielder now available from Pompey.
Liked the look of Joe Low, Josh's son who s at Wyscum.
Plenty of players available to join the Devon mafia!

He lives in Bristol apparently Sweaqr Iโve seen him about Mangotsfield. Still rate him but think he may be a bit old for us if weโre young down the young and hungry route. Comes into My Garage at Emersons green lovely chap, always friendly, is locally based.

Cant argue but shame about Greenslade So the Hoole rumours wrong. Gaschat, never change. Although he could turn down, but I hope not. Wonder what we have offered Rossiter. Hoole ain't staying Percy, he might get an offer, but wants to go.

Is it not such a bad thing to get some Exeter players in. They finished above in the league with some impressive performances and we have struggled against them in recent encounters. For a fan owned club their finances are in better shape than ours and they have made significant improvements to their ground. They even built a successful ladies team. I would see Exeter as an example would should follow. Wouldn't it be fun if we the fans owned Rovers?Jeez, just spat my coffee all over the place. Imagine some on here being on the board or responsible for managing & recruitment ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ Pirate, " I've got clips from all the out of contract players! " Marshy " Ffs we ll take number 8, 200 and 4508 on the list! "

im usually at odds with Pirate but im 100% behind him this time. I didnt actually think there was much wrong with JB football/squad wise. We were on the right path, with the style of football, gates improving and getting some exciting players, it wasnt a perfect team but it was getting much better. It was just his off field problems that were the issue. JB got his mates in (scouse mafia et al)and was slated MT is doing exactly the same, lets see how that works out this time because personally i've not got a good feeling. Im just so disappointed in that football is massively about contacts and we appear to get managers and staff that have zero. It feels like Sunday league having a ring round before the match to see if anyone knows anyone. We'll have a team of Exeter players who are no better than what we have now. We need to gamble more take more risks and get some excitement in the club. Is it not such a bad thing to get some Exeter players in. Some can t play nicely on here, ๐ imagine trying to sign somebody we would never all agree, it would be carnage! We would go through managers every month!

You've articulated my opinions pretty much. I've got my ST for nxt season, but I wonder if it may be my last. it wont be the last and we all know it, all of us on here are bound to this club through some awful curse. it was my mum that started to take me to games at Twerton, many times ive threatened to report her for historic child abuse in making me support Rovers but I cant change it none of us can. Remember we are what makes Rovers - Rovers not the manager, not the owners, and not the players. Ritchie whilst I respect your opinion from Jan last year to the end of the season our home results were atrocious, joe signed some decent players but also a few awful ones, the tippy tappy football with 70 % possession was impressive on paper but the results were dire. Wael gave joe free reign, which the Fleetwood owner did historically, in both cases he spent a lot and for little achievement, joe failed to stop the relegation and got lucky with the Geordie Maradonna, expected him to get more toon youngsters in as a result of that success. Matt is being controlled by the owners, joe would not have stood for their meddling.

I've not even said I'm pro Taylor at the moment, so stop taking out of your backside. I've just said he's done okay previously and that any manager deserves times and a change to build their own squads. I said the same about DC and Barton. It's not just because it's Taylor. Taylor had to cut the budget during the summer and we lost our best player. You could see he could be out of his depth. Yet you thought a coach that had never managed at league level was a good choice. Talk about as massive contradiction!!! The fact is, none of us know how is going to do. He did average at Rotherham considering the budget, but he over achieved at Exeter. Can he over achieve with us??? I don't know, but you don't either. So don't make out you do. Exeter played seen decent football and not just when they played us! They beat Plymouth in a derby 4 0 and were unlucky not to go up in the COVID season. I'm not his biggest fan, I'm just willing to give him a fair change before writing him off. But I know lots of people who are big fans of us. If we have a bad start to the season, then he should go. I will give him 6 games and go from there. Great, let him build a squad and give him 6 games. Genius. ๐ ๐คฃ Pirate whilst I enjoy your posting bar the videos of players which blows up my phone, ๐ we cannot be another Watford they turn over so many managers, and look at Rob Edwards sacked by them performing miracles at Luton. It seems to me he has had to contend with the Liverpool mafia, new owner trying to pick the team, and abuse from fans. Like Daniel we need to give the guy a chance, he s a northerner not flash no stone island, no I've played for Man city and courting attention. His coach gets into a brawl at the sponsors awards night, ffs, let's give him the reduced budget window to assemble a squad and give him until December, I'm not going to dig up posts but you were Ben Garners main sponsor on here for months.......

I guess if we are offered ยฃ750k for Evo with a year left we should take it. Hope we get some early news of players coming in! Ppersonally think we sold Azza in poor form, Evo was rated like Cantona by the Fleetwood commentary team, send the interested clubs a copy of that match! Think he s worth 1.5 to be honest, but have no confidence unless George Friend deals with it.

GYW if they've signed who are they, not asking for source, I know Hoole is off and educated guess Evo. Evo canโt pre sign anywhere. Heโs under contract. Rumour is Bolton, but I appreciate your comment is factually correct.

Today should be the day. Probably wonโt in the end. But should be. Hope it lands and who needs to go goes and we can get on with rebuilding. It should be, it was all decided a week ago! Funny thing is everyone saying they hope MT has a good clear out I know of at least 4 players that have already pre-signed elsewhere and cant wait to get out under his management. I don't think people going out the door will be a problem, i think getting half decent players in will be the harder thing as people will want top dollar to come in to this mess. I can see this getting worse before it gets better! Enjoy your summer gas heads! GYW if they've signed who are they, not asking for source, I know Hoole is off and educated guess Evo.

I donโt know why they donโt go the whole hog , and start charging disabled people or women more for a season ticket, why just pick on elderly and people who donโt own a mobile phone. Seems like another own goal from the club the latest in a long list Thank you Tom welcome to the forum we re a friendly bunch, Marshy is at war with the Krays, but overall it's all cool and the gang.

Said it many times ,I think Rovers record of giving youth/development squad players a decent chance to prosper is appalling, i know some on here shout that if they are good enough they should be setting their loans clubs league alight with MOM performances every week, I maintain that good players need other good players alongside them in order to show their real potential, several have shown up very well in pre season friendlies and that's as near as they get to the first team, but playing devils advocate, how many posters rated the Liverpool lad when he was here ? he had plenty of detractors on here , did Liverpool fans spout 'if he aint good enough for Bristol Rovers then he certainly aint good enough for us? yet here he is in playing in a then title chasing Liverpool team. IT will indeed be very disappointing if Greenslade is not given a chance. Agreed, there needs to be a pathway which they seem to be about to address, as why go to our academy.
