Great, so it looks like no other team is prepared to offer him anything better! It looks like Padstow got this one wrong.

Good news! Ellis will continue to play a part and still has plenty of scope for improvement. If you'd taken him out of our squad I think he could have been fairly expensive to replace.

Brilliant.... how to completely ruin the weekend, you'd think with all that potential he's got clubs would be queuing up to sign him.... but NO, we're stuck with him for another season!!!!

No other club has come in for him... and you think he'd be expensive to replace.... surely you mean there's plenty of free agents out there that would be better!?!

I'd be happy if Ellis signed. You never know what you're gonna get from him but I do think its only a matter of time before he reaches his potential and starts firing.
I can't see us signing another target man type striker now though. We don't need Ellis, Gaffers and someone else to all do a similar role.

Football is a game of emotions. Yesterday was a terrific high, today a low...

The BRFC rollercoaster just plunged down the ride ... seriously underwhelmed that we have Gaffney and now potentially Harrison as two of our four strikers for next season .... please DC don't let Luke James be the next one or my optimism for next season will be well and truly tested.
Feel flat now after yesterday's great announcement ....

Sssh! Or we will end up with James too! Harrison and James to spearhead our promotion charge next year ?😉 'Spearhead our promotion' Ellis would undoubtedly miss from close range and Luke would throw the spear, and have go in his foot after hitting the bar

Let's just agree to disagree I will agree to disagree... but I do have a question for you.... At what point, in your opinion, should we give up on Ellis?

Still maturing & growing in to a proper centre-forward! Good in the air at both ends of the pitch. This will be his year!!! Good signing. The negativity on here is beyond belief! Repeat after me: evolution not revolution.....evolution not revolution......(stop when it's sunk in - mid/end of July for some on here)

Repeat after me: evolution not revolution.....evolution not revolution......(stop when it's sunk in - mid/end of July for some on here) Exactly! People talking about Conor Mcaleny. Everton only just released him this year at the age of 24, despite the fact that he's currently a League One level striker. They obviously potentially saw him playing Premier League football up until this year. People talk about James Alabi (playing Conference at 22), Christian Doidge (playing Conference at 24) and Matt Godden (playing League Two at 25) as young up and coming strikers. Yet Ellis (who is playing League One at 23) apparently isn't classed as one of these. Like I always say, I think people forget his age and want to give up on him already because he's been on the scene for ages, but he is still pretty young and if he works hard he will continue to improve. Give him time!
