Struggling to see what actually happened. About 3 seconds in, bald bloke with sunglasses right next to/above Mildenhall clearly lashes out 2 or 3 times before others hold him back.

From the video and the picture it seems like radio bristol completely blew the whole thing out of proportion? Lots of anger at a poor decision fuelled by being able to touch the net from the terrace (which I find unbelievable) and non existent stewards and police at what will be the biggest away following they are likely to get? Lots of fuss about nothing if you ask me.

Alcohol fuelled animals. That's it really. You can see why they got so riled up but cant excuse that animalistic behaviour. Drink drink hit hit punch everything. Its a real gutter that they brought such shame on a fantastic travelling majority. I may be wrong about the alcohol but I doubt I am, it usually plays a part. Pantomime.

I think you're probably right, Ras - at least one of the callers on Radio Bristol said that the guy was hammered before the match.

Great travelling support, great numbers at home. All that. Its a shame that some behave this way and give us a bad name. You got to wonder, what sort of claim cam we make about our fantastic away support when it includes people like this? A massive shame because without it there really was a good following of hardcore supporters.

From my point of view, someone who likes to have a read daily but just can't find the time to actively post enough to warrant starting threads etc....

However, the one surefire way of preventing it is to not allow people capable of this stuff in to public places in the first instance. Imagine taking a kid to that game and trying to explain why some watered up silverback is attacking players the kid idolises. For shame.

im sure i saw those same blokes in the clear still picture at Altrincham and thought at the time i hadn't seen them before. They stood out then because of the abuse they were throwing and it was unusual for Gasheads to be that vitriolic

This is becoming very embarrassing. We are looking an absolute joke. Yet another reason for so-called little clubs to up their games against us.
What have we become?

There is some new footage of the incident on the other forum which appears to show the Braintree Player actually backing further into the reach of the bald man in the shades/blue shirt as if to invite contact. If people have difficulty in controlling their actions they should consider not going to grounds such as Braintree and the individual in question should be banned.
