Painted Dwayne and Rovers in a really poor light if you ask me. Slower in moving forward/negotiating than previous owners, despite us employing several consultants (Wembley guy) and having the might of Wael and his team. Something doesn't stack up. higgs was so desperate for a new stadium he agreed to a ridiculous deal where we basically didn't own our own stadium or match day profits?

DC has just spoken on Youtube, but i cant listen to it. What did he say? Just put it in a thread mate. Not a lot, just says it is disappointing then talks about Saturday. Gotta love DC, exactly the right thing to say I reckon.

Did he act like he knew this was going to happen? The comment re players being put off by the Mem and now this suggests he might have known about us pulling out.

Cant keep bringing up Higgs and what the contract was when he left, they have had plenty of time to negotiate and communicate. If the club are refusing to make any further comment which is well thought out then my respect for our board has dropped a little as that would be showing us very little

Or The Al Qadis and consultants found out that the original Higgs blueprint was terrible and concluded that it wasn't in Rovers best interests. It does seem wael may have his poker face on, trying to force UWE to possibly give up a little more. If this is the case fair enough I say. Strange the geezer from UWE says he has no idea whatsoever why we have pulled out ππ.. I find that extremely odd π€π€

I don't see your point?

I don't see your point? Mario, i dont know you or what you do for a living. But i can promise not many Businesses would announce a potential investment has fallen through at 11 PM, and then then the other party release a statement saying they dont know why the other has pulled out all of a sudden and door was still open.

My thoughts are that this is completely indicative of how universities in this country have been lead to believe that they are untouchable.
We have developed a culture whereby universities have gone very suddenly from being stable academic institutions to massive, extremely wealthy, commercial operations. They are still being run by the same old left wingers who hate big business who think everyone should bend over backwards for their noble standings and guess what? We all do. Local authorities particularly.
I feel that this is a case of a Jordanian family, who don't have that very British take on Unis, wanting to do a commercial deal on proper commercial terms and not putting up with British academia's inverse snobbery to the point they've had to walk away.
I might be wrong but that's how it appears to me.

As soon as the stuff with Sainsbury started going wrong i told myself if wasn't gonna happen anyway, so I'm just glad it's finally done with tbh, we might just end up with something even better Have you been supporting rovers for long or...? Same amount of time anybody has been supporting them under these owners... so who knows what could come of this..

Many foreign investors will be pulling their money out of UK in the coming years.
