I've been supportive of our owners in the past. Even been criticised for it on here (and then quoted as a "today's belter" on otib.
I realise now they are charlatans. They have not put a penny into the club. All the spending - paying off MSP, players, contracts, new curtains, land at Almondsbury - is paid for by BORROWING AGAINST THE MEM!
I wouldn't even be surprised to find out they aquired the club by promising to pay the debts, including money owed to Nick Higgs. He'd have probably been happy just to get his money back (which by accounts on here he hasn't got yet).
I no longer buy into this "In Wael we trust", and I don't believe they have any intention of redeveloping the mem, let alone financing a new stadium.
It seems very likely that the Al-Qadis have no money. At least none they are prepared to invest. This whole ownership has been about the family giving their youngest a toy to play with. This is the reality I now accept.

Hhm. My blind faith is gone, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until the end of the year to show us some development in the training ground and progress on a new stadium.

This is the reality I now accept. They're not charlatans, they're investors!! I have no doubt that they want a return on their investment. They probably purchased the club with the view to making a profit on it and I have no problem with that. But they know that they are not going to do that by making a poor investment in a stadium/project that isn't "feasible". They want value for money on their investment, even if this money is borrowed against the mem, it will put is in a position where we are sustainable and make our own money to pay off this borrowing. For them to make a profit on the club, it means the club have to grow or improve. I'll repeat, I have no problem with them wanting to make a profit on this club. If they bought the club for £10 million and sell it for £20 million, then it means they left the club in a healthier state than they found it in.

So a couple of points - all of the money spent has been out of Al- Quadi pockets - the charge on the Mem makes no difference to that (and in my view was a necessary strategic move) - in effect, they have loaned money to themselves Most of the money you think is owed to Mr Higgs has been paid as is with the other directors - except for an amount held back for 'eventualities' which is not unusual for a purchase of this magnitude Your faith may well be renewed in time - wait for announcements

Charlatans for refusing to spend millions on something they didn't plan, had no input into, never agreed with, that you don't know the details of, was a cheap option, in a sh** location, that in all likelihood would have been a sh** deal for us anyway.

Agree with all that. I see now why the deal failed. So many fans at the table to negotiate with, hope they can let us know soon why the deal turned sour. Coz they obviously know what we don't.

Maybe I deserve some of the flak given - I don't expect everyone to agree with my opinion. Anyone who does is probably reluctant to post here.
What I will say, and this is a fact - after keeping us in the dark for months, then rushing a short 3 paragraph statement out at 11pm when under immense pressure - is not behaviour deserving of my respect.
