Cosy doesn't mean small at all. In property (estate agent) terms, 'cosy' usually means small, cramped. Ryanair planes are cosy. Wael's beloved Stamford Bridge is cosy - probably why they're knocking it down to build something decent. Will the directors boxes at Wael's New Mem be 'cosy' or spacious and luxurious?

Cosy means comfortable, warm, restful, homely, cheerful, pleasant, sheltered and secure. It has nothing whatsoever to do with size. You can be cosy in a 45 bedroom super Palace, which is spacious and Luxurious. Ryanair planes aren't cosy, they are uncomfortable and cramped, the complete opposite. Chelsea are knocking down Stamford Bridge to increase capacity just like we will be doing to The Mem.

I like the way that the side is blowing off! Wouldn't fancy being up too high in those boxes? To be fair the played in that stadium during a state of emergency a few weeks back because of the weather. I assume it's still standing.

2 games in and we are settling for mid table? Who said so? DC said we can forget about top 6 in Saturday's post match interview and his signing so far don't instill me with confidence, although I did say"if"!!!

He said something along the lines of after the first two games the last thing we are talking about is a top six finish.

Tent structures don't have to be temporary (check the millennium dome out), they are lightweight and so are the structures that support them so you save a lot of money on foundations and groundworks. They can also look pretty funky if they are designed well. Would love our new memorial stadium to include a cool fabric covered roof structure making it a landmark architectural statement that could be seen from a distance right across the Bristol skyline. Would be two fingers up to the Teds as well who love to take the water out of our tented stands now, bit like when they used to insult is by calling us gas heads, we own that now so it can't hurt us anymore, we could do the same with the stadium. Just watched Wael on Points west and he is "going nowhere" and the Mem redevelopment is their aim and finances not a problem even if it costs more than the UWE. The man is either a barefaced liar or telling the truth. IMHO its the latter and not the words of a man fully aware of two buyers who have been in touch with him and made him aware they are ready and willing to buy the club and then build the UWE If Gasincider is to be believed after all that has happened over the last two weeks and I was Wael I would already be on the plane back to Jordan having accepted the offer to buy the club and would certainly not appear on Points West two days after these rumours/facts appeared and outline his plans for the Mem. UTG!

UTG! When you think about it a wealthy person/consortium could still build the UWE stadium and put a different set of teams in there. Invest in them and see what happens. Clifton rugby club and Yate town for example . Or any other local clubs. It has been shown that teams can rise through the leagues with modest investment (Fleetwood for example). If the stadium was altered so an athletics track was able to be used too....
just a ponder....

I know Everton has been mentioned as having a similar site footprint, but there's no way we'd ever get permission nowadays to have stands as close to housing as this:

I worry about all the restrictions regarding the height of new stands Mr Lansdown obviously did not worry about that when building his new stand at AG.
