It's impossible to get out of the Conference at the first try. Stu Sinclair isn't even the best brother. Why can't we recruit properly like Torquay are doing? Matty Taylor will never score at this level. Matty Taylor will never score at a higher level. DC is just recruiting his mates. Bodin's an injury-prone reject. Lines is past it. Leads isn't as good as that other trialist (can't remember his name, now). DC is untried at this level. etc. Don't we as Gasheads pride ourselves on how we cope with adversity? We've coped with the UWE news like a bunch of screaming children. Remove DC from that equation and that's pretty much all those things shot. We have been incredibly lucky to have unearthed a gem and DC is without doubt the best thing Nick Higgs ever did for the club. How long can we keep him and how are we going to fare without him? Sure, but we have kept him. And so he must believe. And I believe in his belief.

We are going to be relegated. No we won't, keep the faith. We are in debt. No we are not keep the faith. We won't get UWE built. Sainsbury's are on board. Keep the faith. Sainsbury's want out. No they don't, keep the faith. Higgs wants out. No, he's a top Gashead. Keep the faith. WAQ isn't as rich as we think. He's a billionaire. Keep the faith. UWE wont happen. Sure it will. Keep the faith. We are going to redevelop the Mem. Not viable, WAQ said so. Keep the faith. The Mem upgrade is going to be utterly disappointing. No way mate, 21k total rebuild. Keep the faith. In the last 5 years the so called negative posters and 'teds' would appear to be the ones ITK. I've lost all faith. Hmm, rather faith I prefer to deal with what is knowable. That might not be much at the moment but for me patience is preferable to wild overreactions either way. For example saying we would be relegated at Christmas 2013 was overly negative but when by Feb and March our away performances were looking as bad as they were and our goal difference was 2nd worst in the league it looked likely and increasingly unbelievable we would survive despite the 1 in 62 chance of going down on the final day.

That's my problem too - I always had hope, now mine has gone. I'm trying to keep it alive for my kids though! Hugo the Younger bought himself a Liverpool shirt on holiday (His mum is from up there) and I did little to dissuade him. Can't saddle the poor kid with the same sh**e I've put up with for the rest of his life. Years of neglect and broken dreams and nothing to suggest that's going to change. Little Miss Tash went to watch spurs v juve with her uncle, and now spends half her time in spurs kit. Fortunately she still spends the other half in quarters :-)

Marcus Stewart has previewed Cambridge and Peterborough games which was mostly DC's slot. DC looked deflated after the UWE announcement and equally so after the Charlton result. Could DC have lost his Mojo de Gas?

Could DC have lost his Mojo de Gas? I think you are doing him a disservice. Even if he hated it here he'd still be going for it every game. It's how he is.

I think we go to a different mem. I park with ease about 8 mins walk from the ground, did it regularly last season and never a problem. Basically roads south of filton ave, easy. So you get there around 2pm/6:45pm on match days, most turn up at 15/30 mins later and it's then 15 mins/1 mile walk, OK if you're young and fit not so if your old or have kids, cr@p whatever you are if it's raining. All the road to the west of the ground are chocca as Jester suggests. I park around dovercourt rd where it hits chedworth road, only on one occasion have I had to park further than chedeorth and that was one street up. I arrive approx 45 mins before kick off and I'm at the ground with more than 30 mins to spare.

I'm with you I've dragged my son along with me on the ride but you do wonder how long you can carry on just living in hope, particularly if we're just going to settle for mid table this season. Perhaps Wael will come up with some fantastic plans for the Mem in 6 months or so, and then hope will again be restored!!

as much as the season has been a disaapointemnt. the playing side of things can be resurrected. I'm convinced there are a few worse sides than us. just a matter of time I think beige that comes together.
DC needs to make a couple signings and have the players figure out who is doing what.
Center Midfield must be hard to get the balance and combination of players right to suit the style you want to play.
Winger and a leader needs to come in. watching you never see any if our player being that vocal. I will get battered again, but Lambert would give us that presence and know how even if he doesn't start games.
The board must make their intentions clear to the fans and the players. I think the hold up on the infrastructure projects is likely to filter through to the player morale as it has with the fans already. It's better to know what the way forward is good or bad than nothing at all.
If Wael and Family don't want to deliver a stadium then I'm afraid they are the right guys to be leading the club. We can't keep the Men as it is to progress and will only drift backwards again.

You can knock one of these up in a few months for buggerall money. Temp stadium 18,000 seats. Fkin mint. Could possibly work on a temporary basis if we were looking at sites elsewhere. But they are literally massive tents.

I like the way that the side is blowing off! Wouldn't fancy being up too high in those boxes?

A cosy stadium with safe standing if possible according to wael when speaking on points west. Sounds good to me. Although I'll believe it when I'm stood in it!
