I've never said in DC I trust and Harrison has consistently failed, season after season. That is annoying when people do that. One person says "in DC in trust" so that means everyone has said it. 😕 Don't get me wrong, I do trust DC to do the right thing, but everynow and again you got to question his decisions. And giving Harrison another season is one of them.

It's a popular response to any perceived Criticism of anything to with the club.then of course as soon as this is quoted the speed of the backtracking is phe nominal. After all he is the best manager we have ever had so how can he be wrong

I wouldn't have played Ellis yesterday but I am sure if you had asked Darrell his reasons for sticking with him then he would have a decent answer. No dramas, in DC we trust!

.....& yesterday Ellis looked about 10 times the player Beckford is & far more important within the game than Ajose.
I say we leave DC to make decisions on players & contracts and let Ellis get on with proving his worth.
Finally - Padstow - you are right - DC IS the best manager we have ever had, his record suggests that & he is doing a great job

Those 2 statements are not in the least bit incompatible or contradictory.

Trololol. Beckford got bullied by our back two and looked static for most the game. Good header for the goal but did sod all else. Ellis looked much more fluent and you couldn't fault his work rate.. Why do people refuse to give him credit? He's had a steady start to the season

Why do people refuse to give him credit? He's had a steady start to the season Beckford didn't have his best game agreed, but Harrison 10 times the player yesterday as Alveston said? Don't think so. Good strikers have quiet games but still score. For what it is worth it though Ellis did ok in general play, ran the channels and worked hard enough, but still missed a good chance to score and that is what counts. Fortunately in the end that miss wasn't too costly as we won the game. I'm not one of Ellis' biggest detractors and thought he was worth another year.

The jury is surely out on whether Ellis getting another year's deal is a good decision or a mistake. To my mind he was extremely important in getting us promoted from the conference and has been a useful component of the squad since. Others have a different opinion. Of course we all want him to kick on from here.

Love to see him fail which is a pity because surely as he is a rovers player every one should want him to succeed. On another point if I had been his agent knowing the amount of abuse he gets from certain sections of the ground I would have made sure he didn't sign the new improved contract he eventually signed and moved on

Hugely frustrating watching Ellis. The player that turned out yesterday was very deserving of his place, worked hard closing down, won balls in the air, and ran the channels well. A good 8 imo. Just missing a goal. However he lacks consistency and leaves you with the feeling that unless DC fires him up he will aleays revert to drifting through games. Judgement still out but a couple of goals may give him the confidence needed to prove the doubters wrong.

He really gets a raw deal with a large section of the crowd to the point where nothing he does is ever good enough. It's a Dam disgrace.

Problem is for 10+ games he's done very little at the Mem, plus he gave away the stupid goal v Scunthorpe then missed the sitter on Saturday. Then he winds fans up with watching the 82'ers etc, not agreeing with the abuse he gets but I can see why he gets it and Gaffney doesn't. Let's hope he can put in another couple of decent performances this week.

So what would you prefer him to do go out after a game and get watered up like lines and a few others were being accused of a few years ago or go to Cardiff to watch a championship game.watching better players playing a better standard of football. You can't have it both ways
