There is a fairly new development on the old hospital site next door but most of the residents there weren't concerned when they learnt that it was going to be a training ground in fact they hoped that it might offer some facilities for them. As for Wael owning the Colony, he doesn't, the whole family does and that might be where the current problem lies. Nope, with respect that is an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory. There is no problem, the club are progressing with planning through the normal process: prepare outline design proposal, submit for a pre-applicaton review by the local authority, await feedback, amend design proposal to address any issues raised, submit planning application. Thanks Steve but a bit like the UWE I'll believe it will happen when the bulldozers move on to the site. I personally can't see the ALQ's even contemplating starting work at The Colony until they've got pp for the Mem regeneration, hence, the holding statement the club has now released.

Well that's going to take a while. Apart from actually designing the New Mem, a mammoth task in itself, they'll then have to "prepare an outline design proposal, submit for a pre-applicaton review by the local authority, await feedback, amend design proposal to address any issues raised, and submit planning application". Once all that's done (and approved), they can then do the same for the Colony.

Assuming "Companies House" records are normally up to date then why do the "former" owners of the land still seem to have a mortgage on the land? beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/03283210/chargesPlus who fed this info to Bert Tann on the OTIB as I doubt he just happened to check these records and came across this info?

infrastructure wise we have reached a deadlock in all activity unfortunately. we won't progress much further until everything moves on again.
Bailing out of the UWE deal would have only led to Wael etc to have to rethink the plans.. if there any at all.
Everything still up in the air with The infra. Just going to keep turning up and getting behind the boys for now and help create and atmosphere at home to push the team over the line.
Would be nice if everything was going our way and we had firm plans being carried it. but it is what it is.

Do you actually know what a conspiracy theory is, as there isn't one here, as either Companies House records are out of date or DS don't own The Colony as we're led to believe.

I think the Companies House records must be out of date, or at least I hope so, because according to the website our next 'confirmation statement' was due by 15 August 2017 and there is no record of that on there at the moment. And as the site says: "Your company must deliver a confirmation statement to us at least once a year, even if the company is dormant. If you don’t do this, there could be serious consequences. The registrar might assume your company isn’t carrying on business or in operation and take steps to strike it from the register. If the registrar strikes a company off the register, it ceases to exist and its assets become Crown property."

If DS don't own the Colony then there would be a conspiracy to deceive the fans about that. Wael and Hamer (and others one would assume) will have had to have conspired to create that deception.

Dwane Sports are a Jersey based company so don't expect any information on Companies House. Like you I believe that the information regarding the mortgage is out of date. I've experienced this in the past with my own company where the bank has failed to lift a charge. The quickest way to remove it is to visit your solicitor and swear an oath that repayment has been made and companies house will remove it. Otherwise you can ask the bank to remove it but that can take forever.

Who the hell trusts what this board says anymore anyway. It's clear they aren't interested in investing the money needed to take us forward. Our only hope is if this supposed consortium exists. I'm no fan of higgs but at least he had a plan, two plans actually, we now have no plan whatsoever.

Any comments to make about the three wins the team has had in the last week or is it just normal service from you and just another post to slag off our owners and chairman. UTG!

Used my free pasty voucher on Saturday - absolutely disgusting - wouldn't give one of those things to a hungry dog - but we shouldn't complain should we, according to some. But perhaps they're used to sh** and will accept anything they're given.

It seems if Rovers are winning we just now have to accept everything is perfect. I did comment on Saturday having stood for 15 minutes in a queue for a cold drink we've not really progressed off the pitch under the ALQ's.

But there are more important things in life then a Dam pasty! If you don't like it , don't buy it ! So yeah just accept it and move on. I go to rovers to watch football not for the food , if I wanted to eat nice food I would go to a decent restaurant, not a grotty pasty hut.

I'm more concerned about off the field developments, whilst the recent performances have been encouraging the long term future of this football club depends on it's ability to put in place the essential infrastructure that most other clubs seem to be able to manage. Stop burying your head in the sand and start waking up to the reality that it won't happen with this board.
