Read the post again - "Perhaps" a tongue in cheek statement in the unlikely event that anything is going on. BUT and a very big BUT any "new consortium" as you put it, IMO would want a 'nailed down' understanding of what UWE are looking for wrt to a partnership for the stadium BEFORE making any overtures to the Club about a possible takeover. Unlikely to happen IMO but I thought 3 months ago we were 'nailed on' to achieving a workable deal with UWE with the current owners and where are we now - back to square one - where we were six years ago. Even if a new consortium existed they would need the club's permission to speak to the UWE about the stadium plans, they can't just get the OK from the UWE to do Due Diligence when they don't single handily own the plans themselves. Someone could do a deal with UWE and build the stadium. thing is if someone decides to do a deal and build a 20,000 seater stadium they will need someone to use it otherwise it's pointless

Would they? Are the plans copyrighted or something? Surely UWE own the the plans as it is on their land?

Would they? Are the plans copyrighted or something? Anyone can use the Planing Permission. If the UWE decide to work with someone else, then of course UWE can grant them permission to perform Due Diligence. It would have nothing to do with Rovers. You can buy a house/property with Planning Permission for say, an extension. That Planning Permission does not just apply to the person who applied for it. What about contractual confidentiality on stuff that's not in the public domain? For instance, if a potential client pulled out of signing up with the company I work for, and then wrote their own software that looked and acted exactly like ours, I'm sure there's something we could do about it. That is, outside of what is in the public domain.

Plans are just plans. Planning Permission is different. But we own the plans right? The stadium plans? Yes. But I don't think UWE will build a 20,000 seater stadium.

A nice little 8,000 seater stadium for Women's Football. An adjoining covered Arena for Music Concerts (maybe incorporate the two?) It could also house a Basketball Team.....maybe a Badminton Team.......Who on earth would be interested in doing that?

UWE is dead, just accept that it's not happening. No magical consortium is going to come along and build it for us.

I met a fairy yesterday who granted me one wish.
"I want to live forever" I said.
"Sorry," said the fairy, "I'm not allowed to grant wishes like that."
"Fine," I replied, "I want to die when Rovers build a new stadium."
"You crafty cunnt!!!" said the fairy.

A few weeks ago you suggested the New Consortium were going to go public within a couple of weeks. Any idea why they haven't? No.
