My view assuming all our fit is that the team should be
GK: Slocombe LB: Brown (he's not been as great this year but he's still consistent and had most assists for us! Think some are being harsh on him at the moment) CB: Locks CB: Sweendog RB: Parts CM: Sercs CM:O Clarke CM: Lines RF: Bodin CF: Gaffers RF: Nichols
I just think that some who were poor recently will react being the big stadium / opposition and if we chop around too much again then we're just doing what a lot of people have been critical of!
Bench: Andre (smith isn't fit imho), Harrison, Telford, Moore, Leads, Broadbent, Bola
I'd like to see Telford and Bola get some decent game time although not start yet (I'm giving Nichols a couple more games like we did when Taylor first joined as I see similarities in what happened then (expectations, trying too hard etc, struggling to score but rest of gameplay generally good))
Just my view....

Whatever team DC sends out they should attack together defend together and take responsibility together and so should DC with his selection and formations I don't see enough communication between players like other teams letting each other know what's going on around them etc. He should take the captains armband from TL and give it to CL or TB or even BB and get them to get the team going when needed. Wow, that is a shocking call. TL rallied the troops fine enough vs Walsall. CL is definitely not captain material and TB has hardly been a professional footballer for 5 minutes. Billy is probably the best candidate of the 3 but I'd rather let him get on with his stuff. Tom should keep the armband. Sorry I meant Lee brown not TB locks not a captain in a million years.

They've also got another fantastic midfielder in Alex Gilbey who is on loan at MK dons. They are a team with a lot of strength in depth whilst we seem to be lacking in a few key areas.

I actually think we'll grind out a 1-1 draw.

Leadbitter and brown have struggled defensively at times this season. A tad unfair picking those 2 out BB? As the whole team has struggled defensively, it comes to something when our best defender at set peices is Ellis. I was replying to toppers point about lee brown after he quoted me on a previous post. Leadbitter and brown are 2 of my favourite players at the club.

I actually think we'll grind out a 1-1 draw. Yes GGMI I noticed that in your prediction league. Along with the other seven - 1 - 1 draws! (8 in total) Interesting tactic? Good luck!

I genuinely think they are tight games so sort of sitting on the fence I guess. Most games have 2/3 goals in though so slightly tactical I guess.

Only us 2 have rovers down for a 1 - 1 draw, everyone else has got us down for a tonking! Oh well there might be a surprise or 2 in store? UTG.

I just think Partington for Leads is a massive improvement straight away. And Slocombe back in goal. It's been a frustrating start really. Only 1 of the defeats where I felt we had no chance of getting something, was vs Peterborough tbf. Charlton we shouldn't have lost vs 10 men, Bradford, we sorely missed Locks and Sweeney and played nowhere near our capabilities. And vs Oldham we weren't good enough on the night. Individual errors have cost too much and basics.

Id go for a traditional 4:4:2 GK Slocombe RB Parts CB Locks CB Sweeney LB Brown/Bola LW Bodin/Telford CM Sercs CM Clark/Lines RW Telford/Bola CF Gaffers CF Harrison
Any Idea how long Sinclair is out for ?

442 for me aswell, I know it didn't work on tuesday but I'd put that down to poor performances and Bodin playing out of position as much as anything.
GK: Slocombe LB: Brown RB: Partington CB: Sweeney CB: Lockyer LW: Moore RW: Bodin ST: Gaffney ST: Harrison/Telford
Moore had a great game away to Bolton last season, so hopefully he's able to reach the standards he's capable of reach against Wigan. Hopefully Telford gets his chance to impress though you can't really drop gaffney or Harrison given their performances of late. I think it might be worth leaving Nichols on the bench and putting him on second half. He's got goals in him it's just going to take him some time to find them, we definitely don't have another Luke James like I hear some fans on the terrace around me mutter. I think he's a better player in all honesty.
Edit: Clarke and Sercombe playing CM

If we continue to defend how we have been tomorrow with Nick Powell, Michael Jacobs, Will Grigg and Ivan Toney in the Wigan team, things could get embarrassing. Fingers crossed they have an off day and we play above ourselves and sneak a result.

Back any of them to score especially Ivan Toney from a set piece. I'm sorry to say this but i am dreading this one ... Fancy they will score at least four!! Could even be one of those games where its all over by half time! Vital we keep it tight for an hour but just don't think we are good enough to defend. I fear that come the end of the Wolves game next week this forum will be in total meltdown on the back of two very heavy beatings ... with no goals scored! As you can see i'm really gutted with Gas Life at the moment ... Apologies !

S. Slocombe
J. Partington T. Lockyer R. Sweeney L. Brown
O. Clarke C. Lines L. Sercombe
D. Telford R. Gaffney B. Moore
I agree with one of the first posts - Bodin needs to know he is replaceable, and Telford deserves a change.
4 - 3 - 3 Telford on the left, Moore on the right, Gaffney center.
