S. Slocombe J. Partington T. Lockyer R. Sweeney L. Brown O. Clarke C. Lines L. Sercombe D. Telford R. Gaffney B. Moore I agree with one of the first posts - Bodin needs to know he is replaceable, and Telford deserves a change.
4 - 3 - 3 Telford on the left, Moore on the right, Gaffney center. Billy Bodin is by far our best player, he may have the odd average game but with respect he is irreplaceable at present. He is the one player who could change a game in an instant.

Do you know your left from your right? Ive just woken up so still half asleep was a late one last night so im recovering and its only the 2 defenders that were wrong so don't try being a smart arse Not sure if it was a mistake or just a crazy idea, like playing left back bola on the right-wing or keeping bodin on the left as per tuesday?

There were some crazy ideas Tuesday the main two being Bodin on the left and keeping our keeper on when he couldn't even walk let alone dive. Maybe Broadbent up front with Bodin and play route 1 tomorrow ?

Bodin is so dangerous cutting onto his left from the right so it was a strange decision by dc. Imagine your last point was a joke but i think we should play more long balls into the channels than we have of late, ive seen dc teams do it to good effect in the past.

Yeah Smith got flattened when they hit the post in the first half and couldn't put any weight on his right leg without grimacing for the rest of the game. That's why he couldn't kick and couldn't dive that side. I don't think it was down to his hand so much. Maybe doing something obscure that might throw them could perhaps give us a chance in a game where I can only see one winner if we play the 4-3-3 and need time on the ball style that we've been mostly playing lately. Bodin right side Broadbent center Gafney left and like you say hit long diagonal balls and central to Broadbent too. It would throw them who knows it might work lol

Nothing really to do with hindsight, DC knew Smith wasn't match fit so why start me, Andre would have had to have had a shocker to let three goals if he'd started. Then playing our one outstanding attacking player this season, Bodin, on the wrong wing just defies any logic!

Tbf to DC, he couldn't have predicted Bodin to have been so bad as he can use both feet. Moore had his best game on the right too. I'm sure DC had his reasoning and he likes to confuse the opposition. His tinkering has worked more often than not.

Yeah soon as the game started I said Bodin left wtf how's he going to do his moves on that side ? and I was right but I could have just so easily been wrong and it would have been a master stroke by DC and we'd be talking about how he's the best young English manager outside the Prem this week. Fine lines

Your the manager and you have a very experienced keeper who wants to play but might not be quite ready or you have young andre. In HINDSIGHT he probably made the wrong decision but only in HINDSIGHT so i think HINDSIGHT has everything to do with it. Bodin was a strange one.

Our transfer business in and out suggests dc wants to play 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 with a narrow midfield and full backs getting wide. Leadbitter and brown have been very athletic and willing in their overlapping full back roles for the club but right now they are struggling with this demanding role at the level we are playing at. For the 1st time under dc we have an injury list of note with players out injured and leadbitter, smith and o clarke not really looking fully fit and partington unable to play every game. To my way of thinking were going to have the typical 2nd season in a higher league after a promotion except by a miracle we had 2 promotions. People just expect too much imo not helped by Hamers budget comments and just the fact that we have a wealthy owner. I don't get where this Brown is struggling nonsense is coming from, I'd say 90%+ of our goals recently have come from either our right side or from corners etc, when did we last even concede a goal from our left side in open play? Bola can start on Tuesday, if he has a storming game DC can worry about who starts at LB next Saturday, not tomorrow. Although the other option is to play Bola at RW, as DC did at Fulham, instead of Leads, as can he really be any worse at defending? DC will never try it but Harrison and Gaffney up top could also work if they are just told to chase every Wigan defender down, as P'boro did at the Mem. *Boom
