I offer no apology. If the poster is so impressed by bristol citys very good form and large attendances which none of us need to be reminded of why dosnt he give them a go? So basically whsthe you are saying is anyone who is critical of the team.management or owhere should support another club In that case you are going to be among a crowd around that watching Accrington because going on the comments in the last month or so at home and away games there are a lot of unhappy fans are you saying they should all leave I wonder if you were there last night or at Rochdale or Shrewsbury because I was and I bet Paul and his dad were. as for the other comments about dc deserving to be given backing football is a results based game with no room for sentiment ask raniErI or mourinho when he was at Chelsea or any other manager who has been sackedoing. You are only as good as your current results history means just that and has no bearing on the here and now What?

I truly believe that if someone feels that way they should jog on down to ashton gate. I got a warning from a moderator i suppose for the way i worded things which i get. Your right that in the modern game people get sacked as soon as things go wrong, bert tann would have got the sack in 1960-61 in todays game without a doubt but that dosnt make it right. Ive got a season ticket and go to our more local away games so what? Whats that got to do with what we say on here?

Last nights game was not going to get us much for january shopping on its own but the Chelsea game showed the potential revenue lost.
Watching the goal highlights the defence looked all over the place and not sure who was marking who?
Notts County play to their strengths but did our players know about them, do we watch the opposition before games any more?

Please bear in mind you yourself have posted some pretty scathing opinions on our club in the past under your current username and previous ones. Debate and argue rigorously by all means, but i personally find that when someone posts "f**k off to Ashton Gate" it generally means you have lost the debate. You also turn the particular thread into a venomous den which others then react to in a similar way. The golden rule is the same as it is always been - Attack the Post, Not the Poster! Enjoy your day everyone.

What we do know is...all the players put in maximum effort and love playing for Rovers. They can only play to the best of their ability and knowledge. If a player is not quite what the club needs at present to take them forward we should not abuse the player or get angry at them. Frustrating as it is it wont help anyone by turning on each other. The squad has some very talented players it is just out of balance at the moment. D.C. most likely thought that he could coach the squad to compensate for the unbalance ,this is now obviously not going to happen. He probably knows this as well ,so its a case of digging in and getting as many points as possible till January. Though to be honest I expect a few to come in January but the real changes will need to come in the summer.
A seasoned centreback is required .An organiser and leader. Any of the talented youngsters can then play alongside. A seasoned defensive midfielder is required. An organiser and leader. A left sided midfield player or two offering different attributes. A seasoned striker ,not neccesarily a big goalscorer but a wise head.An organiser and leader.
These will mostly need to be 30-33 year olds that have drifted to fringe players in the championship. Its not going to be cheap (wages wise) but to continue the rise the club made over previous seasons its whats needed.

It’s only the FA Cup, we never do well in it...... It’s a Mickey Mouse cup the Checkatrade!!! Remember when we were at Braintree and Dover? We could be Tranmere now without Mansell! ================================ * The Chief defensive organiser played again tonight * Not one winger started let alone one decent one in the squad * Played 4 central midfielders again tonight Thankfully we have the first 3 points to rely on, it’s just the cup. Oh sh**, the club down the road appreciate the cup and will have 27,000 watching it in a few weeks🤔 Starting to show signs of a Trollope demise and 4-2, well done Lockyer 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Interesting that you didn’t post a word after we won on Saturday a win that took us to within 4 points of the play offs but you come on here with your sarcastic clappy childish pictures when we lose tonight. Thankfully there are some well balanced posters in here who can see things for what they are and post when we’ve won too. Always was the same Jekyll & Hyde on the old official forum. Total swings of mood and churlish overreaction in many occasions make it impossible to take seriously

A seasoned centre half mccrystal A seasoned defensive midfielder mansell A seasoned striker easter I have to agree it really is mystifying why at least two of those were not kept on. I said it before the end of last season I'd have liked Easter to be on the books even if we'd gone up through the playoffs.

Just to throw something else into the mix are the current 2 keepers any better than mildenhall Only insofar as they're fitter I.e. less injury prone. Slocombe anyway. But I take your point.

A seasoned centre half mccrystal A seasoned defensive midfielder mansell A seasoned striker easter Three years ago maybe....and their experience qualified them well for conference and league two. Time has passed so has the level of play. The three that come in would need to have minimum lots of league one and championship (or above) experience.
If the three players above were the answer then we would need to try to wrestle them from other league one clubs...that's not the case they are not playing.

Mansell is on our books mccrystal is still playing every week in the premier league over there for either Lingfield or crusaders not sure which.and easter had a lucrative media job offer so took it and retired. Are you saying that nicholls is more effective playing in the hole than easter or that mansell could not do the job of protecting our sieve of a defence
