For those who may not have been there or seen this, from harrybuckle on the other forum: --------------------- "I did not personally hear it but heard from a fan that Wael did appear in the BRSC bar for a pre match question and answer session. When asked about Mem and Colony he answered that the training ground will certainly happen and payments owed to contractor for work now resolved. As for Mem re development he said it was complicated and had hit snags but refused to give further details. Does not sound like he or Chairman will appear on Having a Gas on Thursday to answer further questions from fans." ----------------------- Good on Wael for appearing in public and speaking to the fans. As for the rest, I won't comment since I posted this just for info. I also heard that Wael made an appearance. I also heard on Saturday right from the horses mouth that these agreements meant the existing contractors were being paid £1000k per week from BRFC not from DS because DS don’t even have a bank account. And that’s part of the problem. In fact the horses mouth also said that it’s not been £1k a week more like every 3 weeks but he has nearly been paid in full now. Also heard that Hani will only give £2m to build the training complex when we need more like 10m. That came from the architects doing to the drawings and plans. Basically £2m will get us 2 pitches and a set of changing rooms built and that’s about it. There is no running gas water or electric to the site so most of the £2m would be spent in just basic ground works alone. Whether this is the far eastern way of trying to do a deal or what but the more I hear the more it becomes clear that Wael has absolutely no control of what money comes into the club from his brother.

That is disappointing if that is the case and perhaps explains the messages about infrastructure. Not surprised about the bank accounts issue, something I think I may have suggested elsewhere. Still not clear if it is cock-up or conspiracy though in terms of not being able to pay due to not having money. Maybe the phrase "have no money" was taken too literally when it simply meant no practical mechanism to pay. Moot point, they are Middle Eastern not Far Eastern (unless you mean someone else q.v. New Beginnings 2 😎)

So Dawne either dont have money, dont want to spend it, Hani wants out etc, but are still prepared to spend £2m on a training ground (ignoring the qualityof it for a second) which obviously doesnt generate any income for Dwane to claw back
Is it any wonder many of us are confused when people are telling us FACTS

There is usually a reasonable explanation for all things - but the usual suspects can be relied upon to twist everything to make things sound bad - (amazed Brexit hasn't been blamed for everything) no doubt we will all learn in due course what is what - but clearly there are things being sorted out and quoting - 'I have heard' without naming the source indicates you actually know nothing that is definite! patience is needed

Came from the same person mate. The same person who did some work at the colony. The same person who has links to just about every architect in Bristol that can arcitect, manage and build large scale projects for developers that has been asked to do it. Obviously these people will have companies they will use to carry out their projects. I can tell you this, the club are isolating themselves very quickly with quite a few local business firms because of lack of payment and the way they are treated. It’s not going well.
These people are long time gas heads and only wants what’s best for rovers. Why would he lie? He has no need to. They are just fed up.
And no it wasn’t Ed Ware.
Facts are becoming clearer that the ALQs aren’t willing to spend what they think or implied they would. Or they have very peculiar business methods.

The plot thickens another agutha Christie episode in the life of Bristol Rovers More like a whole series of Monty Pythons Flying Circus. With Steve Hamer starring as the dead parrot.

The weeks roll by, and the consortia and their front men continue to hide away.
Saying nothing.
Waiting for the right moment to strike, presumably.
But when would be the right moment to strike?
(and no-one is allowed to say 'while the iron is hot')

(and no-one is allowed to say 'while the iron is hot') They care so much about Bristol Rovers that they feel the best thing is to hide away and drop little bits of information to only a chosen handful of forum users. And we should thank them for that.

I don't get why a Board mod is allowed to drip feed info on to the forum without any real proof it's correct, surely there has to be some reasonability with such a role. If the fence contractors were being paid regular payments and are "real" Gasheads why would they be threatening legal action plus how can a company set up by bank shareholders not have its own bank account. I don't wish Wael would grow a pair and tell us what's going on, good or bad.

One would assume that to reduce costs you would site the buildings as close to the gas/electrics/water and sewage connections of the neighbouring housing estate or farm opposite as possible.

I don't get why a Board mod is allowed to drip feed info on to the forum without any real proof it's correct, surely there has to be some reasonability with such a role. As far as I'm concerned, a mod is just a poster who does moderating, too. They can say whatever they like within reason, in the same way other posters can. Obviously, if you have a problem with a moderator overstepping the mark or using their position in a way you think is unfair you can report a post, or contact another mod privately, or even bring it up on the forum, I suppose. But, just being a mod doesn't bring added credibility or veracity to a post, and they really shouldn't be treated as if it does.

Or they have very peculiar business methods 'Long time gas heads who want best for Rovers' - fine way of showing that by spreading rumour and falsehoods. 'Why would he lie?' - Why is he telling you or anybody else for that matter but afraid to say who he is? - And you young man should beware of posting what you 'have heard' rather than what you know to be true.

So we now know from what you say here that the architects are passing on confidential information to you? And the horse (who you can't name) has a big mouth and is prepared to tell all who will listen - the private business of a private company? Not only that this architect is prepared to give you intimate details of the finance required and where it comes from - can't say I would ever employ this architect! And you get to hear a lot which you pass on on a forum without verification of the information (although you cant name who told you except one is an architect and the other is not Ed Ware) - I don't think I would trust you with my business either unless I wanted it told to all and sundry!
