More like a whole series of Monty Pythons Flying Circus. With Steve Hamer starring as the dead parrot. Oiii stop talking of dead parrots !! Sorry Parrot no offence. 😄 But I didn’t expect the Spanish Inquisition!

If Dwane Sports don't have a bank account, who paid for the purchase of the land at The Colony?

I also heard that Wael made an appearance. I also heard on Saturday right from the horses mouth that these agreements meant the existing contractors were being paid £1000k per week from BRFC not from DS because DS don’t even have a bank account. And that’s part of the problem. In fact the horses mouth also said that it’s not been £1k a week more like every 3 weeks but he has nearly been paid in full now. Also heard that Hani will only give £2m to build the training complex when we need more like 10m. That came from the architects doing to the drawings and plans. Basically £2m will get us 2 pitches and a set of changing rooms built and that’s about it. There is no running gas water or electric to the site so most of the £2m would be spent in just basic ground works alone. Whether this is the far eastern way of trying to do a deal or what but the more I hear the more it becomes clear that Wael has absolutely no control of what money comes into the club from his brother. £2m to run ultilities to the site sounds BS when there's a big housing estate next door if it is then is the whole story similar nonsense? I don't get why a Board mod is allowed to drip feed info on to the forum without any real proof it's correct, surely there has to be some reasonability with such a role. If the fence contractors were being paid regular payments and are "real" Gasheads why would they be threatening legal action plus how can a company set up by bank shareholders not have its own bank account. I don't wish Wael would grow a pair and tell us what's going on, good or bad. I asked that question but it’s not as simple as tapping into a housing estate apparently. I’m not in construction so I wouldn’t know any more details to ask on that. Me being a mod has no effect here. I’m just here to make sure people are being nice to one another. What I post, as long as I’m not breaking the rules myself, is entirely up to me. We haven’t any rules about posting rumours that are heard, what a director may tell a fan (true or not) or what other connections people have to the club of things they find out and want other fans to know. For the record, what I have found out over the weekend substantiates what gasincider says. Perhaps he spoke to the same person? Perhaps not. I don’t want any of this to be true either. But I know this person has absolutely no reason to lie, has put money into the club over a period of years via sponsorship and goes to every home and away game. The 2 companies were owed money mate. 1 company is owned by a gas head who hasn’t threatened anything towards the club. He’s been very patient. The other company, aren’t rovers fans and BRFC are just another customer to them were owed £17k and have threatened with legal action but are being paid at £1k a week.

By now I don't think anyone is disputing there is an issue with payment for the fence and some stuff at The Colony,
but by the same token you have said that Hani is 'only' prepared to pay £2m at the colony
If Hani doesn't want to spend money, or wants out or whatever how is he reluctant to pay Fence contractor but stump up £2m at The colony (regardless of what it can build) all at the same time

Again that is a question I asked...and that is one that wasn’t answered to any great degree and something only the ALQs can answer themselves. Why the real reason for the pull out of UWE. Why hasn’t there been any development of the colony? Why can’t you pay the contractors all upfront? All the lack of action, no communication from board or chairman for months, and dissatisfaction from fans only points to one thing.

To add some clarity to the cost of running new services to a large development a typical cost of £5000 per running metre is normally quoted.
As we do not know the start or End point is its all academic

All the lack of action, no communication from board or chairman for months, and dissatisfaction from fans only points to one thing. UWE? Either couldn't agree terms or we have no money Colony? Either waiting for preplanning and paperwork so it starts smoothly or we have no money. Pay upfront? Either this isn't how it is done as full payment is on satisfactory completion or we have no money. No communication? Either we learn when there is something to communicate (see WAQ at the last game meeting some fans) or we have no money and are hiding away. The problem is that there can be a plausible explanation for these issues or a common theme. There are other options too, of course and perhaps the truth is somewhere more nuanced. I just don't know and speaking personally I hope we do see some practical moves soon, be it formal planning permission or the rumoured extra investment.

Because he is a Gashead. Unfortunately Hani is an investment banker.

As we do not know the start or End point is its all academic That would cost the best part of £2m to run "new services" just 400 metres. If they are only paying off a debt at £1k a week we are living in cloud cuckoo land if anyone seriously believes the current owners are committed to taking the club forward. You don't necessarily need a bank in the UK to transfer money to another account anywhere in the world that has a bank. No surprises with their latest comment 'snags' with the Mem regeneration. Absolutely shambolic - at least DC can take some 'comfort' from the acute financial situation we appear to be in.

As i say that is a ball park (pun intended) for a large development ( ie Cribbs Causeway type development). As we are only building a Tin hut and some 5 a side pitches maybe a bit of 15mm Copper, 7" Main and a 45 Amp ring main would do........ Now sorting out the brown field element of the site could cost a good bit more.....
