Interesting quote about the January window "I've got three lists a waitrose list and aldi list and a poundland list" says he gives that to the board and they take it from there same as in the summer.
So we can blame the board for recruitment it looks like!

For me, that is the clearest sign yet that DC is watered off. Also the point about 3 lists makes me worry about the communication between DC and Hamer or DC and Al Qadi's etc.
There has been a lot of negativity but all the negativity has stemmed from off the field events and the situation at the top. I've put us down for a win Saturday but I'm not confident at all and may yet change to a draw. I worry for us this season.

Tells us what we all suspected.
January business will tell us where we really are.
Fair play to DC for not hiding away, must be uncomfortable for the powers that be

It’s a good job he didn’t put Sainsbury’s on the list, there would have been meltdown on here and not usual calm / pleasant and polite discussions we are used to. He’s does sound pi$$ed off though,

Must be me then because i thought he sounded very upbeat !
Interesting about only spending £135k net during his 3 1/2 years as manager. Thats not a bad return IMHO

Thats not a bad return IMHO So where did money in come from apart from the snake (£300k ?) and perhaps Michael Smith (£50k ?) ? We either paid less for Burn, Partington, Sercome and Nicholls than we thought or we got more compensation for the acedemy players moving to other clubs than we thought. Or DC has a doggy calculator in his office?

We also got a bit for Blissett as well didn't we?
He sounded upbeat in spite of the circumstances, like he said, we are doing it for the fans at the moment.
"he feels let down"..."we need to raise our salaries to keep our best players"..."money talks doesnt it"..."we are a back to the wall club and it looks like thats continuing for the minute..."
You don't say those kind of phrases in a pre match press conference if everything is rosy and you are happy...

It sounds about right if you take into account some youngsters that have left us especially. And yes things definitely aren't rosy. As far as I can see it, DC can either be try and get on with his job and be positive or try and get on with his job and be negative. DC isn't stupid and knows which is more likely to get results.

I am only here for the fans! That says it all for me. He is what we used to say, putting on a lot of front & fair play to him on that front. It’s very obvious that he is making the most of it & that he is not getting the backing and back up from above. That is how I heard it anyway. He said he had 3 choices fir every position he wanted during the summer so his comments on Aldi etc aren’t something new. I think we have a winged manager who is just unable to get the players he really wants and there is only the owners to blame for that. Maybe the owners would like us to go back to paying the players wage again ? There was me thinking we already did this by going to games. That interview has made me feel pity for DC. He’s been stitched right up as I view it

He's only here for the fans, not much of an endorsement for our owners.

see Dc has given the board a list of targets according to BEP, three separate lists according to budget, interesting now to see their response, bet Hani fell off his chair with the Waitrose list! Lets hope he can do business early.

So we're broke, likely to remain broke, nothing has happened on the stadium or training ground, we have a bottom 6 wage budget, DC is only here for the fans i.e. not the owners, he understands how the fans feel, and the priority for this season is avoiding relegation, rather than the top 6 place he hoped for at the start of the season.
People on here who say these things are criticised or not believed. Now DC has said the same, presumably it's much more credible.
Sounds to me like the evolution thing ground to a halt in the late summer, and if the owners are not careful we're regressing fairly quickly back to the murky swamp we crawled out of.

It doesn't make for great listening. I'm hoping its DC trying to use interviews to get a bigger budget, but listening to the Hamer interview the other week I'm a bit worried about what he will have in January now.
