There have been too many pages on the BBC about stuff to do with Rovers that’s nothing to do with football. We’ve had DC on a few occasions and SH and Wael. Rather than wash our divided, dirty washing in public they should all be talking about it and sorting it out in private. Our opponents must be laughing! It’s almost as if we’re doing their managers team talk for them. Always support DC but he really should concentrate on getting our defenders to defend, our attackers to score and stop all this c***. From that article I hear that “we’ve always lived within our means” and it looks like we’re going to keep doing that. Well tbh thank goodness for that! Surely we don’t want to start spending beyond our means do we? That can only end one way and it’s not the Championship or League 1. I also take it that BB has rejected the clubs offer and DC is afraid he’ll be off. UTG! Will you be happy to watch Div 2 football next season as that seems where we're heading if we sell BB and then shop at Poundland? What's the point in having apparently rich wealthy owners if they aren't going to spend money on players, we may as well just become a locally owned community club like Exeter and accept Div 1 football will be our limit. We are £12m pound it DEBT now, how much more would like to owe before the administrators get called in ?

I think dc is trying to get the players and fans to buy into the "siege mentality" as a way of getting things going again on the pitch. Dont get me wrong hes putting across the situation as he sees it with his typical heart on sleeve style which i admire but there is method in his madness imo. 2 home games now so lets see. I'm sure everything he's said in recent interviews is very calculated.

IT seems to me that DC is preparing hIs exit strategy. He doesn't think he has the backing of the owners anymore, isn't afraid to make that public then says the only reason he stays is the fans.
A lightly coded message saying that if there's a hint of the fans turning he will be off.
At the end of the day it's the same old Rovers.
A sh1t hole of a stadium, no money and owners who don't give a flying f uck.
In the old days our natural position in the footballing heirachy was Div 3, with the occasional foray into Div 2. Once there we couldn't sustain it and dropped back to Div 3.
With all the money in football, and most other unfashionable clubs with a tiny fan base but rich owners prepared to have a punt, our natural position is League 2 with the occasional foray into League 1, Etc, etc. Repeat ad-finitum.

"bottom 6 for salaries we pay for players" Very strong words. Whats your response hamer? wael? hani? We probably know that. Hani never says a thing. Wael won’t and SH just says what he’s told to. Total mess! UTG!

Interesting quote about the January window "I've got three lists a waitrose list and aldi list and a poundland list" says he gives that to the board and they take it from there same as in the summer. So we can blame the board for recruitment it looks like! DC states he would like to sign proven players in January! But did Hamer say in his radio interview that January is not the right time to buy players ? Got a gut feeling we will be looking for a new manager soon Truely hope I am wrong but don't think I am

I would expect them to be singing off the same hymn sheet unless something is wrong with that relationship.

There's an expression....'Gone past caring'. DC looks the most relaxed I've seen him for a while in that interview. I'm sure he still cares, but there's a sense of 'Sod it, I've kept my side of the bargain, I've done my bit; now it's over to the others to do their's'.

For those supporters who like to enjoy a pre-match drink, please note that the South West Bar will not be opening tomorrow due to licencing restrictions.
However there will be a bar at the back of the Thatchers End, which will be open from 11.30am – 2.45pm.
Enjoy the game, and please drink responsibly.

The board need to back DC in January and bring in the required players. DC has achieved a lot in his time here and as a fan base it's important we stay behind him, but now it's important the BoD do that too - this January is massive and I just hope our board realise that too!

We aren't comparing them with Hambrook though, we are comparing them with what other football league clubs have and they are awful in comparison. Retaining key players and adding to our squad is more important at this time but if we seriously want to improve the overall calibre of players at this club in the long term, we must have new facilities in place. The Lawns at Cribbs have some of the best pitches in Bristol ! The only problem we have is that we are only allowed to use one to train on ! Agreed not good for a pro football club we need a training complex of our own Did you know that the groundsman stopped us training on that one pitch because it was too wet and feared for the pitch..... Right now I wouldn’t blame Darrell if he left. A sad state of affairs given the optimism of 18 months ago.

D.C. appears to be setting himself up with a scapegoat if he does get the push. Therefore making him more likely to get another job quicker. He is probably more cheery because he has come to terms with the situation and knows January will either give him players to change the situation or not give him the players and so he can hold his hands up and say the club didn't back him.
The question is do the board spend money on players or on paying off D.C. or neither or both !

DC is the only person we can trust at the moment, he's had a guts full, the same as us. We're just lucky we have a manager with the balls to speak out, against owners who think that little old Rovers, can carry on waiting for anything to happen. If nothing has happened regarding development at the Mem, or we don't sign any half decent players, I really think we will see fans turning big time. Hope I'm proved wrong.
