I looked at that picture and expected some psychiatrist to ask me what I could see. It looks like a partridge hanging in the larder. It’s clearly a red dwarf with a tiny c0ck.

Only one problem for Bristol City Council. It’s not in Bristol. Sorry to disagree with you but only part of the airfield is in South Glos. There is a railway line that runs in front of the Brabazon hanger, the hanger side of the track is in Bristol, the airfield side is in South Glos. The area I am refering to is where concorde was parked for years. Yep, pointed out further up the thread and I have been educated.

Or the home end bar the Concord Concourse. we could put Concorde on the roof of the main stand and climb the leagues twice as fast Or burst into flames, crash and never be seen again.

The more I see about the Bristol Arena being on Filton Airfield the more I start to wishfully think this could be a great opportunity for both parties. The Al-Qadi's are investment Bankers, they'll never invest their own money. However if they were in a joint venture regarding an arena/sports arena which could then have shopping and food outlets built up next to sed arena(s), which is next to the motorway and an increasing population in the area. There is plenty of money to be made and a pleasant coincidental opportunity.
A joint venture between SGS and BCC, The Al-Qadi's find investors to fund the infrastructure, they recoup the money through the land they rent out to businesses' and other corporations etc As I said it's wishful thinking, but surely this is an opportunity that they've discussed at the very least?
We surely can't stay at the mem!?!

It would be ok if we filled in that muddy ditch at the side. Build part of the main stand over the river btw was the old south stand at eastville near a river ?

If we're just looking for a site, how about one we already own
View Attachment Only if entry is free. A few covenants on the planning consent of which I think one was not charging entry to the site

People are whinging about transport and parking at the Mem for 18-21000. Hows that going to pan out on a country lane ! The Colony will never be a stadium site.
Its going to be a new Mem .

I went to have a look today. Nothing happening; just the fence, a couple of overgrown football pitches with decrepit goalposts and a building looking very sorry for itself. But it did strike me that the site is in a prime position for development, with the M4 and M5 within just a few minutes drive!

Plus building a ground their is probably about as far away you can get from Wael's vision of rebuilt Mem being part of the community. I still don't know why we've never looked at land at Filton Airfield.

Has the uwe pp lapsed now? Is it officially dead? Well Wael, said it was last August. But let's hope not, I'm looking forward to at least another ten threads on the subject, each of around 30/40 pages long. A UWE related thread has been a constant on here from almost day one, it can't stop now, can it? ??
