They bought the club to realise the potential a modest club has in a city like bristol. In the near future we will be a championship club with a great youth set up and lots of posters on here will have deleted their accounts to save face. but i will be blue butterfly standing strong with fellow posters knowing full well it was always going to happen. the dream of a better rovers,a championship rovers with more to come. It will happen i know it will and its wonderful.

In my opinion their intention is get us to the prem.
Where we can about over paid prima-donas that don’t have half of Sincs’ battle.
I honestly used to believe we were the reasonable side of the river. All these demands for other peoples cash- we’re much of a muchness nowadays. Stay calm and let’s see what happens by next season.

Don't underestimate the desire to push Jordan as a country and a brand to Western climes via football, in a similar (albeit reduced manner with our outfit!) that the Qataris and Chinese are doing. I am surprised we've only seen one Jordanian player turn up so far, but if work permits can be sorted, there may well be more in due course. That's what the Thai's are doing at Leicester aren't they? Even when Leicester were in the championship you could easily buy one of their shirts in Thailand. It’s like when Gulf Air (Bahrain’s airline) sponsored QPR I remember seeing their shits for sale not only in the airports but also in the shopping malls. Then you get a much larger club like PSG who have their own shops in Qatar.

Why did they, he, buy us? Well, a wealthy guy, who loves his football, has involvement in the Sport in his own Country, with clients and friends who are also heavily involved with club ownership, decides why not own a Football Club? No need to go all out and just go part ownership of a Championship Club, nice little well supported down on their luck club will do nicely.
Looking for a return on his money? Would be nice but not sure that's why he bought us. Prestige? Well yes, great bragging points to say he owns a Football Club.
I'd like to think he's here to make a difference, and a difference to the club he now owns. May take time, infact, it will take time, but there's been no evidence to suggest he's bought us to make a quick buck. I'm sure he's got plenty if other ways to increase his wealth.
So he's our owner, we're his club. No argument or upset from me.

I'm now a child of light so rarely use dungeons anymore. Although it is handy when you need a new ball for table tennis. X

Bournemouth are a billionaires plaything until they can move to and fill a 30,000 stadium. However ,the point that a modern small stadium can take a team to the championship is there. Beyond midtable championship and the tv money can take over the funding. If it goes pearshaped one season though you may be left with a squad of very expensive players and sat in league one with virtually no tv money. A step away from administration.
couldnt that happen to most championship teams though, the Bournemouth owner isn’t another rosey face he’s got nowhere near the the money He hasn’t spent millions, they’ve bought wisely and taken a gamble and the gamble has paid off Speculate to accumulate that’s something we don’t do Net spend since they joined the Premier League is £58million.

So he's our owner, we're his club. No argument or upset from me. An apt description yet a depressing one too. Is that all we are? A nice little club perfect for a nice little man of no particular means and influence, run in a nice little way just scraping to get by and see how far that takes us. Is this what this club deserves? Have we got the owner that we deserve? And that is where the problem starts because everyone has a different answer. Some are just happy to still be in business so an owner like Wael is a tidy fit and regarded as a saviour. Me, I think the story of nice little Wael buying a nice little club is very small time. We should be better and bigger than this, I would say we deserve better given our average gates and consistently taking big numbers to Wembley. Wael is the perfect owner for Accrington imo, but he is out of his depth at a club with our potential. We could be so much more and yet probably never will.
