I think we all know DC and his teams are ace but we could with an executive push get to the Championship. Too many Rovers fans don't know any better than L1 or L2 and think ambition is a dirty word or don't realise they deserve better.... cue the, yeah buts.... That what political correctness does for you

Season ticket sales next year will very much depend how we do between now and the end of the season and also how the squad develops in the summer. For now I believe the new signings will put an extra 500 on the gate tomorrow and probably be the biggest gate of the season. Only trouble is ...will the new players play tomorrow as its going to be tough on any player being dropped after last weeks performance but it is also a very tough game to make your debut. We shall see but personally I would like to see both of this weeks signings starting. Well I have made up my mind not to buy a season ticket next season.

Lets be thankful for small mercies!! At least we have two experienced heads and hopefully a new starlet which we didn't have before the window. I agree in the perfect world we would have another striker and a defensive midfielder but that business can be done in the summer where maybe we will get better value. The plusses at the moment are that Smith is now looking a good keeper, Broadbent is getting better and better, Lines, Ollie Clarke and Sinclair can all do jobs and maybe with Bennett hopefully being a first choice it will mean the three of them fighting for positions with Sercombe and also surely we will soon have Mensah unleashed as well. Craig will add valuable experience at the back which will hopefully stabilise the others and maybe (hopefully) a change to a more attacking formnation may even provide Nicholls with the sort of service he needs. I am feeling more optimistic now than yesterday afternoon. Bring on the Shrews!! Has someone taken over SteveK 's account ? Could it be something to do with that blue moon It is widely accepted that full moons have a strange affect on the brain. I should know I now think I'm am alien

how could we have been close to administration then when when we had an asset of £15 million and debts at that time no where near that amount? I think you’ll find our debt has substantially risen since then and I hasten to add secured against our £15 million asset , so yeah no better off 😂 We were in fact "Hours" from administration, the legal paperwork had been drawn up. i know this to be a fact so what you’re saying is then is that we were in debt by at least £15 million?

You don't need to be in debt by more than your assets, you just need to be unable to service your debts and have the people who loaned you the money ask for it back. That's the point of calling in the administrators.

Our new owners managed to secure DC with a 5 year deal didn't they? As for the past regime, nearly sent us into administration. So yea, no better off at all. how could we have been close to administration then when when we had an asset of £15 million and debts at that time no where near that amount? I think you’ll find our debt has substantially risen since then and I hasten to add secured against our £15 million asset , so yeah no better off 😂 You've really got it in for the current board haven't you? Username change may hide you away from your constant board bashing, but eventually many on here will get what you're all about. Sad really.

So many experts on season ticket sales projections. It's a wonder they don't work in the marketing department. I've read a few cynical posts lately suggesting that the club will be making announcements regarding the training ground or plans for the mem redevelopment with the purpose of increasing ST sales, I don't believe that myself. I will be buying a season ticket for next year irrespective of all of that. UTG! Me too, I go to watch the boys play football and love it .

You obviously have no idea how things work so you could be very young but calling yourself by the name of a Stone Roses song could mean you are middle-aged in which case you should know better! As you only joined this forum a month ago you could come from the dark side of the river which could explain your views but please tell us why you are so against the current owners? who many of us believe saved us from a serious place.

Well I have made up my mind not to buy a season ticket next season. You won't be missed - in fact, why do you come at all? as you obviously don't enjoy yourself So what's you connection with the previous BoD as that seemed their approach, hence why gates dropped to 5,000/6,000? If anyone wants to hand over £200/300 of their money the club would be daft to turn it down, even if the fan likes a good moan in the forum.

We were in fact "Hours" from administration, the legal paperwork had been drawn up. i know this to be a fact so what you’re saying is then is that we were in debt by at least £15 million? I think you misunderstand what administration is.
Companies go into administration when they are unable to pay thier debts, because they don't have the cash available to do so. Assets don't matter if you can't turn them into cash to pay what you owe people. Rovers can't pay people with seats from the Mem, or bits of turf. Going into administration prevents the people you owe money to from going to court to force you to pay up.
When a company goes into administration, an administrator is appointed - usually a specialist accounting company, such as KPMG. They then run the business, instead of the owners.
The administrator's job is to maximise the amount that the people who are owed money recieve - by selling the business as a going concern ideally, but also by selling assets. If the administrator is unable to sell the business as a going concern and has to sell assets, any money gained from selling the assets (after the administrator's fees) is than used to pay off the the debts. IF there is still money left then that goes to the shareholders of the business.
Compromise arrangements are also possible. But being insolvent does not necessarily mean that your debts are greater than your assets - just that you can't pay your debts.
