About the debt and the charge on the Mem... It is my understanding that the £12M is a "credit facility". Now, I'm not an expert in how these things work, but "credit facility" suggests to me the club can spend up to £12M. It does not suggest we've already spent it. Just like you might have a credit card with a 10K limit. Unless you've reached that limit you're not 10K in debt. We might have only spent 8M, and have 4M left to use if we want - who knows? Well yeah, exactly- 12 million (conveniently enough roughly the value of the memorial stadium) available to fund the club until it is all gone. What happens when that 12 million is gone is anyone's guess.

Why should DS tell you that they are seeking outside investment? Why do you need to know everything that is going on? We’re just customers, what other people would tell their customers everything that's going on behind the scenes? Why are you that needey Because when they came in we had a stadium deal on the table and they spoke of training grounds and academies opening in 2018. They have since walked away from that deal for whatever reason and no building work has taken place for anything. That hasn't done their credibility any good and raises questions about the extent of their ability and desire to fund a football club. That still doesn't explain why you need to know everything that is going on behind the scenes. How many other clubs gives fans like you secret knowledge of the clubs dealings? Bet there ain't one, but you think you deserve to know everything about Rovers, strange. When you go to the shops, do you ask the boss there for an a-z breakdown of everything that is going on behind the scenes?

Were in the slow lane. As long as we keep inching forward we may eventually end up fulfilling are long talked about potential. Most of us tote enders will sadly be either in nursing homes or pushing up daisies by that time

Like I’ve said before I haven’t got massive faith in our owners that they’ll be brilliant for us or massively negative feelings that they’ll be terrible, I just don’t know , same as everybody else , which is why I can’t understsnd why so many seem to have it in for them. It’s still early days and there are some positive signs and some less positive signs but I’m happy to let them get on with it because that’s their thing while I do my thing , support the team.

It took a bit of scrolling through the thread to realise the OP wasn't being sarcastic! Wish I could be that pleased with the owners progress to-date.

The big question is will Hani be happy to exceed £12m or £15m which is probably the value of the Mem as development land, although if Corbyn gets his way then it'll be worth about £1.2/1.5m! www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/feb/01/labour-plans-landowners-sell-state-fraction-value

That article has nothing to do with us. It's about speculators buying up land from current land owners, getting planning permission for housing, and selling it to real home building companies for a fortune without building a single house. "You could sell your house to Barrett Homes for £1m, but let us buy it and get PP, and we can sell it to them for £3m. You get £2.5m, we get £500k commission." Lots of profit. Nobody benefits except the owners of the assets. Greedy capitalism.

Night matches good but Eastville used to host Combination matches every other Sat for our reserves and Jimmy Robertson,Scottish International made his Spurs debut at Eastville.Later signed for Stoke. So many people have it in for them because so many people expected the new owners to apply a money no object approach and buy our way to the Championship whilst at the same time going straight ahead with UWE and also a state-of-the-art training facility. No-one seemed to be listening when from the outset they were telling anyone who cared to listen that it would be a careful, considered approach, with sustainable development the key I would suggest that's what happening. They're not going to change their plans. We either accept that or in some way chase them out of the club. As they own the shop lock, stock and barrel I don't see what chance a few dozen people on an Internet forum have. Thank you God for DC.

When you go to the shops, do you ask the boss there for an a-z breakdown of everything that is going on behind the scenes? The key difference is there is no emotional/pride investment when choosing which newsagent to go to. If the one on the corner isnt open because they close early on a Sunday you just walk the extra 5 minutes to one of the big chains and shop there and ask no questions. As a football supporter you are tied (or should be) to your local team therefore it is quite important (as far as sporting emotional investment goes) to at least be confident that your team is on a solid footing and has the structure in place to be competing at a higher level. Who wants to support a team whose ambitions have a ceiling of the division they are currently in? Especially when there is the added insult to your pride when you are surrounded by fans of your rivals telling you how amateur your team is and there is really not much you can defend your team with. In terms of infrastructure we are league one at very best. Yet in terms of support we are potentially championship, it is so frustrating not being able to realise the potential that is there.
