How bleak would it be without dwayne sports? No new signings. No top players signing improved contracts. No development squad. No darrell clarke. No chris hargreaves. No league 1 football. No new toilets and club shop. No exciting training ground development. No football loving mad rovers fan co-owner No safe protection from insolvency No real hope of a prosperous future. No prospect of a redeveloped mem near the fantastic gloucester road. Luckily we have got dwayne sports and the future is brighter than its ever been for bristol rovers fc.

Funnily enough I was going to start a post about Waels commitment, he goes to u18 games and is always around, I think things ain’t perfect but we are lucky to have him. Once the development team start integrating into the match day squad and playing regularly he will be hailed a hero, and Dampy will be carrying him down the Glos road. I think we will end up building a stadium in Filton based on UWE design and no I know nothing!

I don't always agree with everything you say Mr Butterfly but on this occasion I wholeheartedly agree. I think Wael's enthusiasm and commitment might take us a long way. I would like a bit more communication going forward but sometimes we fans, especially those glued to social media, lose a bit of perspective and expect everything to happen immediately and to be told about 2 weeks before that, just a sign of the times I guess. All in all I'm happy we have Dwayne Sports.

As my old Dad used to say 'mustn't grumble' and 'worse things happen at sea' but I do still worry that the owners don't share their plans for the club. Once we have a half decent training ground and work start on redeveloping the Mem then I'll feel happier with life with Dwayne Sports until then I remain non-committal about our owners.

Agree with all of that apart from the League one football bit. We would have achieved that with Higgs albeit mostly because of the sheer brilliance of DC more than anything.

Could be much better, could be worse. DS seem to think you can invest in a football club without risking your money whereas I would say that football is a game only for someone who is prepared to lose money as part of the risk associated with the big pay-off if you can get to the top. So I will continue to remain sceptical until serious building work is undertaken or they continue to fund the club long after the equity in the memorial stadium is used up.
We will have to wait and see what happens there.

No new signings. - we would still have made signings. No top players signing improved contracts. - Agree, players possibly might not have extended their contracts. Bodin and Taylor both engineered their move by refusing to sign however. No development squad. - Development squad has not been a great success as of yet.. needs time. No darrell clarke. - Agrees, we probably wouldnt have offered him a 5 year contract, do think he will be gone at the end of the season though. No chris hargreaves. - where is he, and what has he done for Bristol Rovers? No league 1 football. - We we're already on our way up league 2 at the time, ALQs brought a certain feel good factor, though it is now wearing thin. No new toilets and club shop. - cant get excited about either personally. No exciting training ground development. - We are yet to see any plans No football loving mad rovers fan co-owner - Jury is out, never communicates with supporters. No safe protection from insolvency - debts are mounting and against the club. 12m the latest number and will increase, what gauruntees that would be paid off by owners? No real hope of a prosperous future. - Again until new ground or development plans are in public eye and planning approved etc.. We remain as we are. No prospect of a redeveloped mem near the fantastic gloucester road. - as above, no plans in public. Luckily we have got dwayne sports and the future is brighter than its ever been for bristol rovers fc.
A lot of what you have listed, simply has not been delivered.
all ifs, possibles and maybes.

Isn't that in essence what being a Rovers fan is all about? Certainly sums up my 20 years of watching Rovers pretty accurately.

Most of the original list just isn't factual or have enough evidence which could support each point, otherwise we wouldn't debate half of them on a daily basis.
