No we won’t make it and in all probability it’ll be pretty much over by tomorrow night. The games we’ve left are too hard in my view. Don’t think we are quite good enough , need a decent free scoring striker to have a real pop next season. Hope I’m wrong ! So you've already decided we'll lose tomorrow before a balls even been kicked? Given Muffs injury problems we should be able to at least match them tomorrow In my view if we can get a win in either of the next two games then it'll remain a possibility, as long as Scunthorpe's poor run continues. A win and a draw, or even two wins, and it'll look very promising. As far as the remaining fixtures go then Peterborough's last 5 away games look real shockers, Rotherham, Plymouth, Blackburn, Shrewsbury and Portsmouth, they'll do well to win any of them, whilst Pompey looks the easiest I doubt they'll want to lose the last home game of the season. Taking of Posh I completely missed that Darragh MacAnthony had sold 50% of his Holdings to two Canadians. It seems Div 1 is becoming the new Championship, foreign owners wise.Yes, I thought MacAnthony and Evans and Fry would be an interesting mix. They would all put up with each other but bring foreign owners in and it changes the mix doesn’t it. I saw that the owner of Posh had sold half but did he sell 51% or 50% or 49%, I presume someone is still the majority owner although I don’t know who. It would make a difference. UTG!

Hope there is something to play for last game of the season. Hotel in Sarfend already book back in September and its my birthday. The Gas getting into the play-offs would be a nice birthday gift.

Stay 10th or above for the rest of the season and equal or beat 66 points . Achieve that first and then see if the playoffs are still a possibility.
Rovers / shrewsbury playoff final again ? Rovers / Paul Hurst playoff final again ?
you never know.

We've got such a tough run in it'll take a miracle. But, it's happened before so never say never. You'll have a cracking day down there no doubt I'm sure.

Take into account how big every game is for the teams we’re playing, they’ve all got something to play for and pressure can make a good team average.. which ever team holds their nerve and their form will make the play offs, could be us... stranger things have happened
I’ll be happy either way tbh, we’ve done well to even be in the position to have this convo with 10 games to go

One thing for sure everyone must recognise how DC has turned this season around to be where we are now. Of course OTIB will celebrate every loss now with great effect - Not that they care of course

I can't see us doing it to be honest. If we can't beat Northampton and Scunny at home, and lose at Wimbledon - all in the last four games then away games at Plymouth, Peterborough, and Rotherham will end our hopes I expect. The home games v Charlton, Blackburn and Wigan could trip us up too. Having said that, we are Bristol Rovers and in DC we have someone that always seems to be able to conjure up something..... Doesn't work like that though. Wigan lost at home to Blackpool the week after beating Man City.

Don’t think we’ll do it. There are probably six better teams than us in this league and we really needed to beat Scunthorpe and Northampton and get something at Wimbledon. We can’t afford any slip ups and we’ve a hard run in so no we won’t do it. But mid table is ok and all the teams know we are a hard side to beat so lots to be happy about. For all the goals we’ve scored we still lack a 20 a season striker and as always we have to wait until after Christmas before the defence remembers how to defend!! But it’s so close and as was said, beat Plymouth and Posh and it will be different and I’ll probably change my mind again. We could do it, I just don’t think we will. UTG! I wish this were true Wareham as we would be in the playoff positions. We've lost 16 games with only 6 teams having lost more games. We don't/didn't grind out draws enough. Anyway, we lack the quality to be up there in the top 6 - Taylor not replaced and Bodin's replacement - Bennett, still finding his feet.

50/1 to be promoted on skybet. About right I reckon but what an achievement if we did it! That's actually not too bad odds. I might be foolish enough to put a tenner on it a bit later. Good luck to you, it will have to be one hell of a Friday night for me to do that!!

Surely we MUST be safe, since the teams below us would be taking points off each other as they crept towards us. Who's got a supercomputer spare (that's not currently being used mining for bitcoin) that we could borrow to crunch the numbers?
