Not good enough, especially in defence. Blew our biggest chance in the January window last year

Said before and will say again, as long as it’s mathematically possible, I’ll always believe we’re in with a shout. In DC we trust. UTG!

Good luck to all going tomorrow- sing your hearts out! Wish I was there but could not get a ticket. Planning on going to Peterborough though and it will be so much better there if we manage to get something out of the game tomorrow.I have a sneaky feeling that we just might.

Win tomorrow and I think its definitley still on, but sadly I think even if we do, Plymouth are the form team most likely to break in to top 6 at last minute. Chance of posh and scunny falling out of top 6 though is good. At this part of he season you always expect at least one team to falter, but weirdly we need lots to falter a bit to lose to us! That rather spreads out the odds somewhat. But I am optimistic still

From Bolders? No never! 1 more win and a draw and yes. How do you get that Marshy? Surely we MUST be safe, since the teams below us would be taking points off each other as they crept towards us. Who's got a supercomputer spare (that's not currently being used mining for bitcoin) that we could borrow to crunch the numbers? If the bottom dwellers maintain their level of shyteness then 50 pts will be the safety target.

Maybe a he/she? You could always try the Crocodile Dundee test Bags, if you’re up for it?

Yes we probably are safe but I’m being super careful! 54 points no need to worry about anyone else, although 72 would be rather nice.

I don't think we'll make the playoffs this year. I just think that the teams around us are more consistent. Saying that, anything can happen , especially with rovers. I have really enjoyed the season this year and I believe next year we will push on again and will be up there challenging for a top six finish. Don't shoot me , i am not confident about tomorrow's game with muff as they are in very good form and the playoffs will then be out of sight ( in my opinion, feel free to disagree) hopefully though if we can make the playoffs someone can dig up this post and correct me !!!! Either way , no matter what happens I really do believe as a club we are slowly heading in the right direction.

What a great club to support at the moment....

To be honest If we win tomorrow then this time tomorrow night I’ll be well and truly thinking we can do it and if we lose then we might well be 9pts off it so thinking about where we’ll be in May is frying my brain. I can see why DC says one game at a time. We could lose tomorrow then win our next four and be one point off it with five games left. One thing is for sure is I’m always on the bus because you’ve always got to have faith in what you believe in. UTG

Agree with DC, always one game at a time then move on. We won’t win all the remaining games but if we concentrate on just one game we can. Then we concentrate on the next game. Probably won’t do it but this team keeps me entertained!! UTG!

Probably won’t do it but this team keeps me entertained!! UTG! The team don’t know when they’re beat and that comes from the manager and his mentality, that mentality was there when WAQ bought our club and he immediately got on board with it ,our long suffering supporters did too or at least most of them it was a breath of fresh air after the likes of buckle and McGhee Ward etc That’s why we’ve got so much momentum. So much good has happened at the same time after so much bad for so long we’re riding on the crest of a wave. Some have tried to derail us and have failed it will take more than them to stop Darrel Clarke’s Bristol Rovers.

I just don't understand our slow/terrible starts to each season.
It's not as if DC clears everyone out and has to rebuild. He slowly evolves the squad on a pittance, and produces some gems, such as the snake and Billy B, develops others like Ellis, and brings in total surprises like Broadbent. Most work. In fact his surprises work better then his "big" signings like Nichols.
At the start of recent seasons we are struggling, then get worse, then start to storm it and everyone gets excited.
If DC knows how to do what needs to be done, then why does it take him so long to re-learn the lessons from the previous season?
I'm not having a go at him, really. What he's done for us is fantastic. I'm just confused about these early season dips that make promotion a struggle. And then the form after Christmas which, if repeated across the whole season, would see us in the Champions League in a few years.

Having Said all the positive stuff I’ve saud tonight I still think we’re more likely to lose than win tomorrow I think Plymouth are favourites but if they do beat us it doesn’t change the fact that DC is a ledge and his team will do everything they can for him and for us , if they weren’t like that then he wouldn’t have signed them/ re signed them. That we can be proud of whatever the score. UTG

And then the form after Christmas which, if repeated across the whole season, would see us in the Champions League in a few years. You make a good point , this is how I see it. Obviously the squad we’ve got is limited in terms of technique so the only way DC can consistently get his squad to punch above their weight is give his players all his players a fair crack first half of the season with a “ go out there believe in yourselfs you are good enough show them that “ message What we then have is a fair few players who are probably only league 2 standard playing their hearts out in league 1 knowing that their manager and the fans are completely behind them and so much want them to succeed and they’re putting in good performances and holding their own against players and teams that before DC got hold of them they’d never have dreamed they’d be playing against let alone ompeting week in week out against and winning half the time. DC is a fantastic manager because in my opinion a fantastic manager is one that can build a squad on a small / medium budget for the level that they’re at , convince those “ average players that they’re better than they are so that they can play with confidence and perform to a high level and achieve things sgsinst the odds. Managers like José moronio , gaurdiola etc have always had top squads and budgets in whatever league they’ve managed in but what I’m talking about are the likes of Brian Clough , Darrel Clarke ,Eddie Howe , Graham Taylor , Chris hughton etc. These people don’t get the limelight because they’re not big names but they are the best managers in my opinion . It’s all about opinions we’ve all got one. Anyway UTG Ps Sean Dyche, Shithead yes but fair play great manager.

It is strange but it’s a pattern that keeps happenening in all the seasons since DCs been manager, after Christmas he must have a great record as a manager! Yet for people of my era who supported us in the late 60s and early 70s it was always the opposite, we seemed to start well but run out of gas (no pun intended) around January or February, it happened in 67, 70, 71 and 72 and nearly happened the year we went up 74 and it certainly happened in 2000. Nowadays we seem to gather steam, not lose it. UTG!
