Why? Most people only use one main personal email address, even if they use more than one email address. Kitty Thorne is a season ticket holder at 103. How many email addresses do you reckon she's got? The OS seems silent on the whole issue, so do you now have to have an email address in order to get a season ticket?

I've got 2 email addresses and I haven't received anything to either of them. Had a good look through the spam filtered stuff and nothing. Which seems strange as I'm a st holder and I recieved the recent survey via email....
Just a suspicion but do you think they've given the option to renew seats a bit earlier than terrace places?

I dont think its the passing it on for a match or two that is a problem or what the club care about. Its those that were claiming there ticket never arived, selling it on and getting a free one. If you dont receive your card or lose it, i assume the club will ba able to just cancel it Possibly but I bet in the bigger picture the club lose more money on season tickets being passed to friends on a game by game basis or saving money on staff at the turnstiles, hopefully they put a few more in the food huts so you don’t miss half the game queuing for a bovril

This is without a doubt revenue protection and modernisation.

In case anyone is concerned, I very much doubt this will prevent you lending your season ticket to other people when you can't go. I shared an Ipswich Season ticket with a work colleague for many years. He was the registered ticket holder but I used it for half the games every season without any problem. As long as the card works when you put in front of the reader at the turnstile, nobody worries about whose hand it is in.

Personally I see nothing wrong with passing on a season ticket. I miss around 7-8 games a season and always make sure it’s used, sometimes by people that wouldn’t otherwise be able to go. I never charge a penny for it, so it is absolutely no different from me purchasing a match ticket for someone else. I’m over in September for a couple of games, will pm you the dates. They’d better be good seats, I’m not one to slum it. Can you send me your eyeball in a bag as well.

Think it's a positive move but I can't see it will prevent people passing their credit card style ticket to a friend when they can't make it. The bigger question is if we're going electronic turnstiles why don't they introduce a membership scheme so that tickets can be purchased on a match by match basis and added to the credit card style ticket? I agree on the membership card for the non season ticket holders. They can purchase tickets on a game by game basis online beforehand, otherwise if it goes completely cash free at the turnstiles, the ticket office queues will be massive. I've no problem with a season ticket holder passing it onto a friend for a game they are unable to attend. As mentioned, the biggest problem with the books is those who claim the'ye lost theirs and get a replacement whilst giving the old one to someone else. That's not fair. At least if you loose the card the club can cancel it before issuing a replacement.

What's wrong with doing that? I've done it a couple of times this season when I've had ro go to work. It's my seat, I've paid for it and I can give it to who I like. If I didn't turn up the club wouldn't know, so the seat would just be empty.

Exactly the same for my Father and I. Both long term Season Ticket Holders, both separate e-mail addresses, never had any updates on anything e-mailed to either of us.
Anyone know how to confirm an e-mail address for a Season Ticket?

The forest gumps are ahead of us on this. Plastic card with QR code. ST holders have one that scans each game. Non ST holders can purchase a membership/supporters club card then purchase tickets online that get put on the card by magic (This card is also a priority card should there be a big game). Those who watch the odd game pay online and print off paper code or collect from ticket office, also pod at office but this would need a lot more staffing with our higher attendances. Note. I'm a gas ST holder but if there's no fixture clash or away game is too costly I'll nip to the gumps as it's 3 miles away. Only time I get to be passenger and can have a few ales

These little things are big things for me. I never take my season ticket book in with me at home games as I have enough stuff in my pockets (Wallet, 2 phones, keys etc) without a big fat book (or 2) in my pocket which also could fall out.

Good that we are going electronic but investing in this now indicates that maybe nothing major is going to change with current ground set up anytime soon otherwise why not wait to do it along with the redevelopment?

The way I see it the club have contacted all ST holders whose address has more than one ST registered to it but only one email address. Would think those of us with a single ST and one email address will be notified ASAP. No need to panic!
