So, if what you have been told is true, it probably got built by an offshore company who can supply 20 developers for the price of one uk developer. In my experience, and I stress it's "in my experience", the quality of the resulting product turns out to be very poor. The projects I have worked on have ended up with software that resembles a house of cards. Trying to add new features (like being able to change the area of the ground you occupy for instance) becomes very difficult as the software breaks in unpredictable ways. In the end, and again this is only in my experience, outsourcing has proven to be a complete false economy. Far more has needed to be spent on "Technical Debt", trying to fix things that were not done very well in the first place. I'm not saying this IS the situation we have, but it seems likely to me. The worse aspect of this is that the club could lose ST sales especially for those people who might be 50/50 about buying a season ticket. If they really want a Season Ticket, they'll get one. Besides, it's still early for the new system to bed in.

"I wish Rovers would hurry up and embrace technology like every other club." *Introduces online ticketing and electronic turnstiles* "NO, NOT LIKE THAT" I'm not usually one to moan, but as my dear old Dad used to say, "Buy cheap - buy twice". It's a shame that the club couldn't have gone for a more up to date operating system, and I hope that the people in the ticket office aren't on the end of the flak which will no doubt come from some fans. We're using a ticket company used by loads of club's world wide, is there any evidence it's not an up to date system?

Is online security as bad as the payment processing?
