Anyone still unable to pay by credit card online? I tried to do it online and it said "we are temporarily unable to accept card ending with 1234" So i phoned and it was obvious by the way she spoke that lots of people were not being able to renew online. She then renewed my season ticket and said it will be in the summer i will get my card. Must admit i dont like putting my card details onto the internet for no good reason so i wasnt impressed. Managed it now, I had to add my card sepereeately to the system and then renew, rather than adding my card as part of the renewal process.
As someone who works in financial technology systems, this is not a good one. Looks very old fashioned, buggy and not well configured either.

What also struck me was the lack of “customer configuration “ - not being a geek not sure if that is the right term to use - basically it just assumed that what you did last year is what you want to do next year. No other options available. So, for example, doesn’t allow for addition/ removal of people on your ticket eg children who you may wish to add/remove as they grow older. Or that you may qualify for a ‘concession’ ticket this year that you did not last year. Meaning you have to contact the club to sort this. Things like that. Not very flexible as it is at the moment but a definite step in the right direction.

Let’s be fair about this, a Mango season ticket is about £3 a game cheaper cmon Gas no free pastie no party FFS😂 Not confirmed one way or the other, but of course some people just accept that it means ST holders dont get anything despite tbe FAQs saying there will be special offers Simon I am laughing at fans expectations they are too cheap anyway, mangotsfield is slightly cheaper per game what do fans expect?

As someone who works in financial technology systems - I'll just go to the shop. The chances of this being right first time are almost zero.

So, if what you have been told is true, it probably got built by an offshore company who can supply 20 developers for the price of one uk developer. In my experience, and I stress it's "in my experience", the quality of the resulting product turns out to be very poor. The projects I have worked on have ended up with software that resembles a house of cards. Trying to add new features (like being able to change the area of the ground you occupy for instance) becomes very difficult as the software breaks in unpredictable ways. In the end, and again this is only in my experience, outsourcing has proven to be a complete false economy. Far more has needed to be spent on "Technical Debt", trying to fix things that were not done very well in the first place. I'm not saying this IS the situation we have, but it seems likely to me.

What a complete load of Sh8t software that is Popular is the east side as the Centenary stand is now the Popular Insulation stand? Although the club doesn't help itself by publishing the s/t prices and just referring to the "west stand" etc not by the stands sponsors names.

"I wish Rovers would hurry up and embrace technology like every other club."
*Introduces online ticketing and electronic turnstiles*
"NO, NOT LIKE THAT"

The worse aspect of this is that the club could lose ST sales especially for those people who might be 50/50 about buying a season ticket.

It's a shame that the club couldn't have gone for a more up to date operating system, and I hope that the people in the ticket office aren't on the end of the flak which will no doubt come from some fans.
