I don't know, looking at the safe standing rails it seems just a little too safe to me. If it's not proper terracing i doubt it will feel the same and I'd rather just have a seat. I'm sure I'm in the party pooper minority here.

I'm fully in the 'I like sitting' camp however the atmosphere is so much better at away games when everyone is stood up.
I'd love safe standing behind each goal so home and away fans can belt out their songs.

Most people stand up anyway regardless of seats or not

We've got safe standing, it's called standing. If you want to sit happy days, if you're going to stand then you don't need a seat.

As has been said we already have safe standing. What I want is a new all seater stadium, let alone one with the extra cost of safe standing seats.

We've all been caught up in surges, pushed around and seen people knocked to the floor , possibly hurt and so on celebrating goals or gesturing angrily at something/someone. Just because it suits you, doesn't mean it suits everyone else. Besides, the petition is about Championship and Premier League, where they have full seating grounds.

Some replying on here just being deliberately argumentative as usual!

Perhaps we should all watch on the telly or have to wear PPE on the terraces.

Any evidence to back this up? Have you ever sat in one ? No, have you got any evidence that anyone has been hurt stood in the rail seating section of a ground?

Have you ever sat in one ? No, have you got any evidence that anyone has been hurt stood in the rail seating section of a ground? The problem you have is when somebody wants to sit down, nobody can get by them without moving, you cannot climb over the bar because its so Chuffing high, so you are "boxed" in and i found that quite disturbing

You can't go anywhere without someone else getting up to let you past. As far as I know the seats are locked in the 'up' position so that people cannot sit in the rail seating section. Thats how I've seen it explained anyway.

It doesn't affect us so much, but UEFA doesn't allow standing so for European games the seats need to be down.

Thats how I've seen it explained anyway. Begs the question why have seats if they are " locked in the up position". Surely you can stand or sit down but as in the present seating situation, those seated can not see if people in front stand. And why go to the much greater expense of rail seats if they can not be used. An all seater stadium is what we want firstly, although even that is a pipe dream at present until the revival of the UWE is announced.
