Anyone notice he said - after talking to the chairman and owner - he's sure there's more positive news to come in the coming days or weeks. Wonder what they told him? He's getting his top and jacket with his initials on before the end of the week ?

It does seem to getting there, slowly but surely. More slowly than surely, but still positive.

Could be anything including just a turn of phrase but bearing in mind Wael's recent news, this appointment and how few negative comments have been posted recently, we can but hope. Don't know about anyone else but for me this could be a pivotal summer in our history. Get it right and in 12 months......

This is good news, it will be good for the club to sign players from more than one agent.

It's not to say all players are with Volenti, but we have 8 known first teamers with them for sure.

All this positivity is making me feel sick! I'll tell you why he's here. He's actually a land developer with a secret group looking to buy out WAQ. They will sell the Mem and build a housing estate on it. Rovers will move to a purpose built stadium in an isolated location... but, under the stadium will be a secret base from where DC and his friends will plan world domination.

Next announcement a plan to match revenues to expenditure. Must be next thing on Waels to do list now he's devoting all his time our way But is that really our concern, if Wael wants to build a potential Championship chasing club then surely it's up to him how he funds not for us to worry about it, or would you sooner we just tread water in Div 1 for a few seasons before the inevitable happens and DC jumps ship then we finish up back in Div 2? Regardless which successful Div 1 side matches match revenue to expenditure, Walsall trying to do that almost got dragged into the bottom 4. It obviously isn't your concern but then again reading your posts thinking and typing is obviously something you can't do.

4 years ago this summer we played Coventry as our "glamour" friendly. We'd sunk so low I assume we couldn't entice a Prem team to come here and play us. Now we're poaching their head of recruitment! Incredible transformation.

Back in January I wrote a timeline of events that I hoped (and partly expected) would unfold before August and the start of the new season. So far we have had, in my view, a reasonable January transfer window, a date for submission of Colony plans plus appointment of project managers and the AGM with accounts being published which didn't seem as controversial as the last set (quietly reassuring in my personal view). On top of that we have had the new CEO named, Wael's statement and now this appointment, but set against the loss of Browner and maybe others if some posters are to be believed. Going in May, we should have training ground plans submitted by Tuesday week and I remain hopeful of some stadium update during June. Then into July with player recruitment of 3-5 additions (rather than the 8-10 of last year) before an attack on the Championship next season. This time next year we 'could' (1) be promotion candidates, (2) Phase 1 of the training ground nearing completion and (3) the stadium starting. I do emphasise the 'could' though.

Sorry if my post was too challenging for you and so you had to revert to your personal abuse on here, I guess all this good news is a bit hard for posters like you to take at present.
