Both left for virtually nothing (in todays game) to move up to "the next level," the Championship.
Snake has done sh**e, 3 goals in 2 years; loads of missed opportunities. Bodin has fallen out of favor with Preston fans after some crap performances.
Just wonder the difference those two could have made to us and even themselves if they had stayed. Before snake left, we were right up near the playoffs; then when he left, we dropped off and came 10th, 7 points of the playoffs. Difference with Bodin, you could almost say we improved without him, but if we had those two still, and they had not left, we could be in such a better position, and they could have been too, both out of favor and some Preston fans say Bodin is "out of his depth."
No player is as big as their club.

There different players so I would evaluate them differently but.... as I see it:
Snakey. A good player, but signed for the wrong reasons. Heading LJ call him a natural finisher made me chuckle a bit. He works hard, gets in many good positions and for a really attacking team (which we’ve been) will score goals. His City time has been hampered by injury but he could still prove a good signing. I just don’t believe there commited to him. As his number 10 position is often filled with others.
Bodin. A good player, but does go missing. Being a Lee Brown (6/7 week in, week out) will never be his game. He’ll be a 3/4 or 8/9.

The Snake went for money end of. He was bull shitted by the rose faced twat across the river just so we didn't have any chance of getting near them... All my respect went for the snake when he decided to leave us in the lurch - any professional would have made sure there was time to hand over before leaving for a new job - in any other profession. I'm not at all bothered what he does now.
Bodin - not too different other than he at least had the professionalism to give a us time for a replacement...
Both though, sh** on us, we pulled them from nothing and gave them a chance. When the time came to repay us they showed their colours. Both could have signed better deals finished the respective seasons with us then they could have looked for a club and we would have potentially got better fee's (I know snake had a clause).
rant over. back to diy.

Do you have the same lack of respect for any professional that joins us late in the transfer window or does it only apply to those that leave? I don't agree that that either owed us anything. Bodin was given monthly deals when he joined us and had he not performed or his knee injury had flared up we'd have dropped him like a stone - leaving him "in the lurch". With Taylor he would have been on low wages when he first signed and played a massive part in getting us from the conference to mid table in league one before then making us £300k - I'm sure everyone would have been delighted with that potential of outcome on the day he signed.

I feel exactly the same way, they can both drop in to non league for all I care in fact I'd laugh my head off. Lee Brown is class and I hope he does really well wherever he ends up.

You never know, we might not have seen the last of either of them. I'd be all in favour of DC getting the old band back together....on reduced contracts of course

Thought Bodin had been starting for them and has had some good games. Don't think he's doing no way near as bad as you make out. One game when talk sport keep going to it, the commentator was raving about him, saying he was looking dangerous every attack.

Bodin must have done alright because he starts most games. Good luck to him same as Brown as far as I’m concerned.

I question any player who moves clubs in January. Leaving a job half finished to finish another job off for someone else doesn't sit right with me personally. You let your friends/teammates down for the sake of a few months.
I know Bodin would have gone for nowt in the summer but I know he was looking for a move anyway.

Bodin was and isn't nothing special as for the snake it was because the red faced tax dodger bought him as he was worried the gas were getting to close to his Bristol sports franchise and that would never do just my opinion 🤷♂️

I'd look at the League table before Bodin joined PNE. Coupled with Maguire returning from injury, I think hes done pretty well for them. Also look where City were at the same stage Bodin was far too good for L1 and Rovers.

So you are criticising him for being ambitious and wanting the best for his future. Footballers only have a short career, need to make the most of it.
