does it matter - he is nothing to us and doesn't deserve a mention now or in the clubs history book. He is at a club who suits his attitude.

I agree he was used as a pawn to stop us progressing, i've always said as much.
That doesn't make crossing the divide any more excusable, even if you are a simpleton like Taylor is.
Right I see. I thought you were saying he had his heart set on City from the start (like when he insisted on the 300k clause being inserted into his new contract).
Well, there is no saying they weren't already talking at that point (eg "we may be interested but score some goals in L1 and we'll talk again in Jan"). Like I said he had friends who play(ed) for City even when he was playing for us.
I've no idea when talks began with the teds but find it very hard to believe it was the weekend before the transfer like MT said.
What I do know is that City were the only club he talked to in January, and that in itself is very strange.
