What's the betting all those posters slagging him off on this thread will be the first to say we should re-sign him if he his released? I won't want the treacherous little Lady Garden back. just remember how and where he went in that January transfer window. If he had any class, any respect for Rovers how wouldn't have had anything to do with the crowing and bragging that horrible s h it club indulged in when he signed. He gleefully joined in rubbing our noses in it, the C unt. And then he willingly made that goal celebration video. Treacherous, p is taking little C unt. The only person at Trashton that beats him for C untishness is the rosy cheeked L.G., and not by that not much either. That's where he went wrong IMO. I totally understand him leaving us for them tbh but there was no need to rub it in our faces like they and he did. And then moan about someone doing something to his house or something? I'm sorry but I have no sympathy for him there.

He had every right to complain that scumbags were targetting his house / family etc. He did not deserve that and those that targetted him let our club down far more than he ever did.

What's the betting all those posters slagging him off on this thread will be the first to say we should re-sign him if he his released? Nope. Good on him for leaving us in the lurch and grabbing the cash whilst it's there - but he can go and do one if he thinks he'll be universally welcome coming back to the club that gave him his big break. If he wants an example of how to do it properly then he doesn't need to look too far beyond Lee Brown. But Brown wanted to leave us.......

I don't understand any fan being critical of withers performances for us. Both proved they were very good for us and the star players at the time. Both never started here at 100mph but found their form eventually.
Would advise the PNE fans to be patient of they think BB has had a slow start. Like we find with most players, not all can be 8/9/10 performing players from their first kick.

And he did it leaving us the full transfer window in which to get a replacement in. Not sure I understand the point you're trying to make.

Some of the posts on here are ridiculous. If someone offered me three or four times my salary I’d be off like a shot . We all would. Maybe.......but all he had to do was stay a few more weeks ‘til the end of the season, then he could have ridden off into the sunset. He’d still have been offered the same money from a championship team if not the sh**e. We’d have been in a better place and by the looks of it, so would he. So, in answer to the OP and WYHHB? It’s a massive great “NO” from me. UTG!

I don’t condone what happened with MT and his house, agree it’s totally unacceptable. But I would say he’s going to attract twats because of the way he left. 1) leaving last minute of transfer window so we weren’t able to get a replacement in. 2) saying what appeared to be a wishy washy “thank you” to the fans and staff days after he had left, 3) the parading of him before city’s home game like a prize striker bought for millions from a prem side scenes of him walking around saying “big int it” Scott Murray saying “I can smell goals (knowing why he’d been bought to warm the bench) 4) the “welcome to Bristol “ joke press conference 5) and more recently when he at last scored a goal they had him up before the cameras again with him holding a snake!! With goals or some such legend behind him. There’s banter, then there’s a lack of respect for what this clubs done for him. Yes the career is short, yes city have way more potential than us at present, all good reasons to go to them, but it was the classless way he did it that I can’t forgive......

There different players so I would evaluate them differently but.... as I see it: Snakey. A good player, but signed for the wrong reasons. Heading LJ call him a natural finisher made me chuckle a bit. He works hard, gets in many good positions and for a really attacking team (which we’ve been) will score goals. His City time has been hampered by injury but he could still prove a good signing. I just don’t believe there commited to him. As his number 10 position is often filled with others. Bodin. A good player, but does go missing. Being a Lee Brown (6/7 week in, week out) will never be his game. He’ll be a 3/4 or 8/9. I think it helped Bodin that Brown was behind him Umm, Bodin mainly played on the right for us.

I knew someone would get on their high horse with what I said. I wasn't condoning it but don't rub it in our faces then moan when someone reacts. I guess that is not the politically correct thing for me to say though?

I agree to some extent but footballer is a short career and your only one bad slip or crunching tackle away from ending it prematurely too. he could have done his cruciate ligaments in the second half of last season with us and his big move might have never come. I’ve learned in life that if a big opportunity arises then don’t wait take it. I hate the sh** even more since that deal but I haven’t really got anything against the player particularly. He went where the money is like 99% of us would.

Apart from No 5 by which time MT probably thought it was funny to take the p out of himself being called a snake, did he really have any control over the other 4 issues you have listed. Perhaps the 82er's post January demise is karma for the way they treated us last season over MT's transfer? All a bit of a joke really when we no longer supposed to be their rivals.

I've read and re-read my post and nowhere did I say he asked for threats or in fact deserved them. What I was saying is that he is a classless little twat and I hope the S hit keep him in their reserves and never play him. I believe he had a 3 year deal? If so then the Rosy Cheeked Lady Garden can continue paying the twat his 15k a week. That will cost the devious W anker another £270k. That means that when his contract expires he will have cost the S hit £540k, plus any signing-on fee. And The Snake will have spent his prime years getting splinters in his arse. Seves him right, the Trecherous little C unt snake.

I have a personal theory that several Championship clubs tried to sign him (and why wouldn't they for £300k?), but C*ty guaranteed to offer him higher wages than any of them so long as he did the deal with them at the last gasp of the transfer window, leaving us no opportunity to get a decent replacement in, and still possibly make the playoffs.
Paying £300k for a striker like him was pocket money for the Duke, and the cost of his wages was insignificant compared to the humiliation of seeing us in the Championship, making a mockery of the millions he had spent.
That would explain DC's famous side glance to camera.
Maybe bollox, but it was a dodgy deal however you look at it.

There could be something in what you are saying, the shot would hate to see us in the same league as them again. I hope Wael can crack on soon and capitalize on them balling it up every year. Need to bridge the gap sooner rather than later.

I agree with your second point, I've yet to be convinced that this was more to do about footballing abilities but as a brilliant (from SL's view) piece of PR that took the heat off of LJ. As soon as their Championship status was secured he became a fringe player and is likely to be surplus to requirements come August. MT was a pawn in SL's game, albeit a well paid one, and may or may not regret it from a professional point of view. Personally I was angry over the timing, (which is why I was happy for BB) but that is now water under the bridge. Move on, life is too short to harbour the amount of animosity here.

So, BB doesn't ask to leave and you hope he drops to non league, Browner asks to leave and you hope he does really well... Lee Brown stayed when we needed him, the other 2 didn't, that's loyalty No championship club came in for lee brown though. How many of our 9,000 fans would turn down doing the same job for at least 3 times the salary? What proper footballer dosnt want to play at villa.sheff wed, fulham, leeds, newcastle etc and test himself against high quality players?

He never had any class, but how many people cared about it as long as he was playing for us? Check out his goal celebrations in front of the fans of his former club, during the two play off semi finals in our Conference season. If he`d celebrated scoring aganst us in that way, I doubt if he`d have got off the pitch without some lunatic having a go. But he was our player then, so it went unremarked.
