They might have even played against each other in a Bristol derby mid 80s?

QPR statement: To put it in gentlemans terms when you look for a manager sometimes they are good looking and sometimes they are not the best. Steve isn't the best looking one we could have taken home but we pulled him and got him in the taxi. He is very pleasant and very nice, so thanks very much, lets have a coffee.

Didn't his Mum pass away last week, not very nice timing that. He can come to us and work along side DC and MS

Having read through a couple of media stories the words 'sacked' or 'dismissed' aren't mentioned at all, it just says 'replaced'....
Lord knows what that's all about....

To be fair, I'd rather get little Lee in the back of a taxi than Steve McLaren.

They are clearly avoiding certain words. Also didn't use 'mutual consent'. Seems pretty obvious though that they didn't think they would get further with him, so time to try someone else. As for 'helping' Rovers - lol. No no no way / thanks.

Best rovers team i seen in my life time belonged to him and he got the sack for dropping below mid table in league 1..... 12 years later we're back there at last haha - the man is a legend

I'd welcome him back to help out with the HT draws.
Enjoyed some good times in the Ollie era but much rather have a young, hungry DC than either Ollie or McClaren now as both have had their day.

I would agree on DC, he is the man but if he were to leave the Ollie would be a great pair of hands - he signed JC, JR, BH & the Duke...BZ out on loan. The current crop up top wouldn't even be allowed to clean boots (only a joke though). Maybe he can help on CF recruitment haha

If DC were to leave, I'd much rather get another up and coming manager trying to make a name for themselves.

Depends on options at the time i guess but would be great for the club in some role in the future - funny though i joked about Julian Alsop and just had to look him up a goal every 2.5 games for the gas... LJ and TN could only dream ha

He signed some right duffers in that 00/01 season. Mark Foran, Roger Vaaler, Scott Jones, Clinton Ellis, Rob Trees, Steve Rose and Justin Richards. However, he did also signed some unbelievable players and some of the best during my time following Rovers. Good luck to him, I wish him well.

Touch wood, we will never have a player of his like wear the quarters again.
